Hi, got my PER yesterday 7th oct. Application was received on 12 June.

When I log in to CAS it says "record not found". Could anyone please advise why is this message and how much time does it take for my record to show up? In the PER, it also says that my application has been sent for processing.

Please advice.

Hi guys

Today I got my Pcc from pune , India

Sharing my experience , might be helpful for someone

Filled online appointment for pcc (one day before) , dint pay . Took printout with me
Pcc walk in timings are 9.00-10.30
I reached by 8.45 with original and one photocopy of passport ( as address on passport n current address is same )

At gate showed print out of online form n watchman gave entry .
There was small line in lobby counter started by 9.00 , from there I got token slip which took 10 mints . Need to show your passport n copy of it. They make file kinda thing with your token slip .
Now you have your small file ( which includes passport photocopy only in brown cover )
They will direct you waiting room which is connected with futher processing counters

Waited for 5 mints and on screen got my token number flashing for counter A
(Counter A has 37 units / windows)
There they took pic , finger prints , 500rs/- .
Got free with all this around 9.30


After this they direct you for counter B , which took around 1 hour

Approx by 10.30 got my token number flashed for counter B ( which got 10 windows )
They just verified info provided by counter A and directed me for counter C ( again 10 cubicals )

By 10.45 I had my Pcc from C .

Now after that we have to submit our token slip in exit door . ( please fill backside information / feedback while waiting )

Altogether I was out of psk before 11.00


Word of caution : for kids tatkaal walk in not allowed you have to take appointment
( for kids normal fresh passport walkin is allowed though )

In my humble opinion, I believe this piece of information is incorrect. The average difference between PER dates of those who pay by CC and those who pay by DD is 3 to 4 days and not 10-15 days (solely because, this is the time that is spent for cashing the DD and the fee amount reaching the intended account). The time difference obviously would vary if there are some bank holidays in between, because that will delay draft encashment.

I believe CIC personnel must be making arrangements for Canadian Thanksgiving, probably they will all eat at the house of the guy in charge of updating CAP and he went out for groceries

I am non-Indian, can I apply for pcc from outside India through the help of a friend,
Is that possible?

One more thing, the period which is going to be cleared at the pcc is between 2008 and 2009, are the Indian police authorities going to do pcc for that period, or they will ask for a current residential address and current visa ..etc?

Please advice.

It may better to wait the file back to avoid repeating the same mistake, they should send you with the file a detailed letter that explains the missing thing. Think about it or confirm with the seniors here for every document before you send

This is my problem right now, I am torn between wanting to send a new application and waiting for the packet. It is, however, been 4 months since it was sent out. Chances are, the packet has been misplaced or it would arrive very late. I understand that the last day to submit for FSW 2014 is December 31?

Well, if you know why your application was deemed incomplete, make the correction(s) and send out the new one ASAP.

This is the dilemma I have right now. I have no Idea why my application was deemed incomplete.

After applying for FSW,I changed my daughter's first name legally and got a new passport. Should I inform CIC after getting the PER mail or to the local VO?Could you please tell me whether any document needs to be prepared like affidavit.Will this cause any problem to my visa processing?

10-15 days is not what I think. It is as per SS and by past experience that I am saying.

Ashif / Century had also mentioned the details of the process for DD encashment which takes more than 3-4 days.

Mambo, A normal local DD in India takes about 1-2 days to clear. Here we are talking about an international DD with correspondent banks, Canadian central bank, Indian Banks, Outward remittances from Indian Banks, Time difference between India and Canada and other factors which needs to be taken into consideration for arriving at total time taken. I am myself working in a reputed bank in India and know for sure how long it takes for simple plain Push outward remittances initiated from India. In case of a foreign DD, it is a pull outward remittance where the transaction is initiated at the foreign bank and not in india. Hope this clarifies.

App Date : 5th May
PER : 23rd June
MR / RPRF : 10th July
PPR : 6th October

VO : CPC-Ottawa

Away from the forms, you said you scanned the whole file, share here what you have sent and we can judge uf something was missed, also make sure that forms were completed, dated and signed
