CC charge is being deduced only via the bank's portal or do we get some form of email too from CIC?. I am 17th June applicant. Out of 6, 3 have already been charged. Keeping my fingers cross Smiley. Normally the transaction take around 3 - 4 days to be reflected in the bank's online portal.

No email from CIC for CC charge. you can get to know of it only by checking your CC statement online or through alerts.

I don't have much knowledge on that ,Senior's comment requested.

Why don't you request this in advance . Whole lot of discussion was going abt this some weeks back in this forum..

I have a deadline from Consulate to reply back with PCC. I have already requested a copy of PCC from FBI, however based on current timeline I would not be able to get it within the given timeframe.

What you can do is apply for PCC. If you cant submit it in given time line then just send receipt, tracking no, etc. (which ever document you have to prove that your PCC is under process and you haven't received it) and send it VO. Also include a cover letter mentioning for some extra time and ensuring them that you will send it as soon as its available.

Need advice

I am 25th Aug applicant, NOC is 2281. I did not send BC local language photo copy with notary, I have sent translated copy with affidavit.

Can I send photo copy with notary now? what should I mention in covering letter, so they can add this document in my file. What a chance to get through my file without this document ?

My CC debited 25 Sept and I received UCI number on 2nd Oct. Please up date this info.

Also, I got another number starts with E . What is that number. ( My previous application was terminated due to 2008 backlog in 2012 after doing medical and paying visa fee).

How long will take for next step from CIC ?

HI Everyone,
We have been following the forum for a while and have greatly learned a lot from the experiences of members. Let me give you all a snapshot of our journey so far.
Date of Receipt of Application : 16th June, 2014 ( as per Blue Dart - DHL)
Place from where we applied : Mumbai, India
Category : 2171 (edited,)
Mode of Payment : DD (issued by ICICI Bank, Mumbai ) with supposedly a validity of 6 months.

It appears from the post that 16th June, 2014 applications have been charged. Since this is our first time, we do not have a UCI number.

Can anyone give inputs on how to find the status of the DD ?? From previous posts, it seems like Local BAnks in India do not seem to get a hang of the dd encashment. Is an Email (PER) from cic the only way to know the status for first time applicant who have applied with DD?

Check with the front office guys of ICICI bank at the branch where you got the dd PREPARED. They should be able to help you.
