1) 1258 might be in USD which is equivalent to CAD 1400

2)You need to apply for Indian PCC in Indian Embessy

3)If you have stayed in US for more than 6 Months , you also need to apply for FBI background verification ...

If you require FBI verification , don't wait any further as the processing time right now is 3 Months

Good Luck :)

Thanks Arun for your help

Hi All,
This is a great forum, appriciate help of senior's for replying to queries.
My Credit Card got charged yesterday.

Application Received - 12th June
Credit Card Charged - 30th Sept
NOC - 2174

But I have one question that I applied for myself, my spouse and 2 kids. So the total CAd is 1400, but they deducted only 1258. I dont know why? if you guys have any Idea then please let me know.

Also regarding PCC I'm from India and currently studying in US, So should I apply for PCC in Indian Embassy at Washington DC or do I have to follow up with FBI in US. The reason I'm asking is because if you check the CIC website they say for Non Resident we have to contact Indian Embassy for PCC and the wait time is only 10 Business days. Please advise. Your help is greatly Appriciated.

Thanks,
Vikas

Yours must be a US credit card.So amount deducted is in USD not CAD.

Wow! Great news! Congratulations! Enjoy your day!

PCC from Bangalore PSK - Process

Hi,

Today I got my PCC from PSK Bangalore (Sai Arcade - Bellandur). This post will be useful for Bangalore folks who are interested in getting their PCC.

Steps for getting PCC from PSK are as below:

1. Register yourself on passport.gov.in and create a login
2. Download e-form and fill it offline (This is the best way and recommended by Passport authority as well)
3. Login with your registered user and then click on Apply for PCC and upload the filled e-form.
4. After uploading, print the ARN (Application Receipt Number) - Make sure you check your details on the ARN - In case of any mistake, correct the offline form and re-upload.
**** Do not pay online and schedule appointment as PCC applicants can walk-in between 9:30AM and 11:30 on working days ******
On the day you visit PSK, carry the following:
a) Present address proof (Only required if your present address is different from passport address - for me it was the same so I didn't need this)
b) Passport Original and self attested copy
c) Proof of why PCC is required - ***Many PCC applicants were sent back without a proper document explaining why PCC is required. I carried with me the document checklist IMM5612 print out since I haven't yet received my PER).
d) Self-written letter to Passport Office, Bangalore, stating the purpose of issuing PCC - I wrote that it is needed for my Canada PR application

On the day of visiting PSK:
1. Try to reach PSK by 9AM (latest) to avoid rush
2. Once inside show all documents to the counter at ground floor and you will be given a token
3. You will then have to go to the inner hall where your token will be called (A counters) - Here you pay your PCC fees (INR 500 per applicant) and photo and fingerprints are taken.
4. You then wait for your token to be called by APO or C counter (also referred as Granting Zone) - This took me 4 hours due to lack of passport officers present (I suppose most of them were on vacation with the long weekend starting tomorrow). I was first called to APO who checked my passport and then sent me to C counter (another wait of 1 hour).
5. At C counter, my passport and file was taken and 2 copies of PCC was issued instantaneously. A stamp was also put on my passport stating PCC Issued for Canada. If your address is different from passport address, then at this stage the officer would inform you that further police verification will happen and only then PCC will be given.

Hope this helps! It took me around 6 hours so plan your day accordingly. My wife also applied for her PCC along with me and her case moved along at the same pace.

Cheers.

Any person teaching full time in an university or a college which is affiliated to an university or autonomous will qualify to apply under 4011.

Thanks for the response, but the 2 years college that I mean are those schools that offer "Associate degree" and you can proceed to a-4-year college to complete a Bachelor's degree..
They are not affiliated to any university...

Guys,

I can't seem to find the page detailing the step-by-step process for the FSW program (CC charged --> PER etc etc).

Can someone share the link please?

Thanks.

is pcc requested at the time CIC sends per? or is PCC requested by the visa office (one step forward from PER)?
