Jammy,

On the credit card form, did you also provide the CVv number for your CC. On the form it didn't mention anything

You sure have to. Look to the lower right part of the form, you'll see "Card security/card verification value code (CVV)
A three (3) or four (4) digit number usually found on the
back or front of the credit card"

don't know the chain or context.

But CVV no. is to mandatory filled in the form as it allows cic to process or deduct fees from your credit card 8) 8) 8)

CIC website clearly states that a sworn affidavit from the translator is required so I would suggest you to add that. If it hadn't been necessary, I suppose they wouldn't have mentioned it specifically. This sworn affidavit is nothing but a document wherein the translator states that he knows the target language for x no. of years and has complete fluency in it and the translation provided is accurate.

+1 for the correct suggestion! All the best!

@frasiercrane

Thanks for your comment. Others have suggested that I should skip the ID card hassle by not mentioning it at all on my application.

NOC 1112 is filling up quickly and I dont want to delay my application further. :-[ :-[

Hi gurus, i would like to ask how accurate is the info on the spreadsheet? i expect my package to arrive sometime this week (NOC 2173) and i see that the date keeps coming closer and closer (it was about Oct 11 the first time i saw it and it is already at Sept 22!). Do you guys believe i can still be in?

Fingers crossed!

As per my understanding, even if you calculate 6 apps per day, until late October 2171 stands open.

if you have everything (ECAS, IELTS, reference docs) ready, submit as soon as possible. Anyways, lets us wait for the CAP updates today evening Indian time to forecast the 2171 counts.

IMHO, 2171 will roughly updated to 230-240 ;)

As expected my forecast turned true...2171 is now 233

Do you know of any specific cases of rejection for self affidavit for BC? just being inquisitive.

For Green Card processing in the US, my friend did not have BC (rather he had with a blank name..in India they give like that!) . He gave a Self affidavit BC. They said not valid and asked a similar affidavit, but from his Parents. I just extrapolated in this context. I dont have specific Canadian input. But all these countries have similar rules in the immigration document standards.

Thanks for helping us all with valuable suggestions and thoughts! And all the best!
