No they did not. however, i know what all stages will now PCC request will go through:
1. PSK to SP Office
2. SP Office to Police station that falls under my area
Verification will be done
3. Police station to SP Office
4. SP Office to PSK
5. PSK --> Email notification
6. Then i will go t here again to get the PCC.

[red]I think this process will at least take 30 days if done without any approach / bribe [/red]
it took me exactly 30 days, EVEN with the above highlighted process ;D

well that's exactly what i went through as well. i asked the TCS guys who scan and upload the documents and he explained that if Police verification has not been done in the past 6 months, then it would only be issued after verification. same day issuance is only for cases where verification took place within last 6 months.
Ok then thats the reason police verification will be done again for me.. passport was issued almost an year ago. I guess then the timeline for it would be somewhere around 15 days, as was the case with passport verification.

HOW MANY MR REPORTED FOR NDVO TODAY...

Hello Friends,

I am happy to share the information that I have received the MR/PCC/RPRF request today from NDVO. I have updated the SS. Thank you all for your great help and suggestions during the process.

But now I am in a bit of difficult situation and if any member is/was in similar situation, please advise :

Recently I came to USA and currently on H1B, Now do I need to request VO to transfer my file to CPC-O since my stay in US is more than year and I Would not be able to send my Passport to New Delhi VO when needed?

Since NDVO has given me 45 days from today and they respond to enquiry in 28 days, Is there any quick way to communicate with them and discuss the situation?

Thanks,

+1 Aman for that additional info - "verification will be done for PCC if not done within last 6 months"
Guessing that this might be a standard practice across India for PCC through PSK.

has anyone tried TNT as courier service? My package is still in transit and got stuck in 1 country for 2 days now.is it normal?

TNT does not have a direct service to Novascotia, so your shipment will be delivered in Toronto to a local courier (most probably Purolator). It's normal to get your shipment hold at the Euro Hub for the weekend.

My passport was issued in 2006 and yet PSK at ITO Delhi issued me a PCC the same day.... within a few hours actually. I guess the PSK rules keep on changing from one state to another.

In one of the passport forum, I found people complaining about delay in PCC issuance from Chandigarh PSK even when their passport was reissued a few months back. They were told that their respective police stations had not sent them the updated PCC report and PCC has to be done again which seems ridiculous considering the fact that they have already dispatched the passport. How can they dispatch the passport if PCC report is not received?

Congrats on getting closer to canada...
You might need Visa to Canada if they want to interview in CPC O

Oops, looks like there is no standard template, it is all customized!!
Thanks for the alert.
