Anybody willing to share where they got their documents translated by a certified translator? I am looking to get my PCC translated by a certified translator.
Thank you.

Yes there will be space , going by the numbers earlier today it says 218 applications against 188 previous week ( a guess estimate of 1 week of applications processed and also accounting that the rush will decrease further after the first month lot, 30 per week , 6 per working day , extending this logic the remaining 812 applications will be filled in 812/30 = 27 weeks ~ 6 months from 20th May. I think he/she is good to go .

All the best !

(+1) for this logic and i concur :)

Thank you.

If it is UAE, go to any typing center. They'll get it done for you, do review before picking the final one as they do spelling mistakes.

Hello Members,

I was wondering if anyone can help with my below queries:

  • Can a husband and wife apply separately (for 2 different categories), however at the same time? Of course each spouse would be accompanying the other. My husband falls under 1112 and I fall under 1123.

Also, regarding the police report, would anyone know if there is a minimum period of residency (in any country) for which the police report is required? I've been told if less than 6 months in a stretch, it wouldn't be required, but want to confirm from reliable sources.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Thanks,
Sam

Answer to first question is, apply one application where you can both claim maximum points.
Your understanding for second is correct.

Sam,

Your chances are maximised with the Wife's app as a principal applicant as she is not part of the hot NOC.
NOC 1112 is the second hottest NOC, so no point applying through the husband. Also CIC rules state only one app for a family of husband and wife.

PCC is not mandatory to be sent with the initial app package. And yes, if you have lived in any country for a period of more than 6 months at a stretch, then you would have to get the PCC of that country.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!!

Don't sweat on the PCC. Let this not stop you from sending your application because PCC is not essential initially. Once you get the PER, you can ask them if they need the PCC from Pakistan.

By the way, you seem to be out of Pakistan, so try to contact the Pakistani Embassy/Consulate for the PCC. They should do it.
O. O.

dear,

i got PER last month.just looking to arrange PCC before they ask

Thanks Oscar :P :P

My mind drifted for a while and the time taken by the teller was maybe 5 seconds to confirm and it seemed like years. But finally when she said yes & i felt like i already got PR.
