Hi guys,

I have a scanned copy of one of the employer reference letters. Is it ok to produce color print out of the scanned copy or it mandatory to produce the original hardcopy ?

If I need the hardcopy I need to travel a long distance as the employer is not ready to dispatch the hardcopy.

Kindly suggest.

Regards,
Keerthi.

Buddy,

This indicates probability of PER is increased highly.....:)

No need to think any negative things now...:)

Thanks Ashif Bhai,

Appreciate your encouraging words. But negative feelings are natural as this would be a dream come true after trying for 3-4 years :)

Let see ....

Hi GUR2010,

It means your application is compete and you have been charged fee.
Now, CIO is evaluating you application against the point system, they will also match your job description with NOC.
Once completed CIO will issue a PER.
If everything is in order, you should get your PER this week.

Good Luck,
Cheers...

Thanks jpn !!

You can used scan copy to send along with your application. But later on VO can ask original one.

urgent advice required on PCC issue!

I am Pakistani and my wife is Bangladeshi national. after obtaining per (Alhamdulillah) I have started working towards getting pcc so that I would be ready with it when VO asks me to submit it.

according to instructions on cic, every individual who is 18 years old and have lived anywhere for more than 6 months must obtain a pcc from there.

as I m Pakistani, I obtained my pcc easily, also my wife got her pcc from Bangladesh. now when I went to apply pcc for my wife from Pakistan (she is here with me since 2009 but on visit visa which is issued to her annually, no family stay or family visa type thing for Bangladeshi and indian nationals :( ) the authorities said we cant issue pcc to a foreign national living on visit visa, that's the government policy!

I have tried to get it through some "chaye paani" (u know here everything can be done through chaye paani!) but still they said they cant do this cos this will call for government inquiry that how come a pcc was issued to a Bangladeshi or indian national (due to PK and BD/Ind govt clashes these nationals are not facilitated well).

after disappointment I called back to my consultant in Toronto and explained him the situation, he said he is aware of this govt policy and that cio has no issues if there are some govt policies for certain countries in some regards like this one, still he will need to speak with cio official to confirm an exemption for my wife's Pakistani pcc, which they normally do.

any advice on this issue? any similar experience from around the world that can help me? any information that I can use as help? should I be worried about this issue? will it going to effect my application? what else can I do? any solution?

thanks

Brother,

What I have observed earlier- applicants whom have difficulties to provide PCC from a specific country with a valid reason....their request had accepted by their respective VO..

I have seen one applicant recently whom have faced barriers to rcv PCC from china another one from middle east PCC issue...both them were exempt for their such PCCs....

So I hope and believe this will not create any issue for ur processing....U will need to add a cover letter and any proof from the authority if possible that BD/ Indians are not meant for PCC ....

Good luck...

Hii all,

There is no Surname/Family name in my passport, only given name is mentioned. In the form shall i leave the family name section blank or write N/A.

Thanks Best Regards

there is no point in applying twice if one is not worried about the cap. plus the little mistake you made is not a point to worry about

you are being misguided about applying again. even for the first application you could have got great professional help in india itself. people from usa, europe and canada come to india to get anything and everything done these days, not the other way round. in india one can get everything done very professionally and at affordable rates. the quality is not compromised. plus canadian consultants also make the mistakes that anyone else can make

apply again only when your application returns for any reason not otherwise

Thanks. When will we get to know status of my husband's application? SS says mid-Jan. We approached some consultants in India -Hyderabad including top ones like Y-axis,Oppulentis and morevisas back in Sep 13. They were not ready to file for Canada, saying Canada process is unpredictable blah blah.. They promoted US Work+Study option, which we were not interested in. If not that, then Denmark. However they approached us again in June 14 to apply for Canada, but by then we already signed with current consultant. After going through posts, I felt, we can apply on our own with some diligence and caution.

Hello bjkt,

That's fine and I've always tried to be positive as much as possible. But things can't be so easy particularly this Canada thing. That's why, I am still not sure if its going to be true.

CIC tells:

"If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the given name field."

I hope this will help...:)

Employer reference letters are not supposed to be sent in original instead simply photocopies (b/w); so simply take a printout of the scan. But please do make sure not to compromise on the print quality. If the scan is not of good quality please request for the best quality so that the printout is of amazing quality. Best of luck.
