Actually it is ECA. You need to do ECA for your educational assessment (diploma/degree)

Hi everyone!
Newbie here, i just want to ask if its not too late if we apply for noc 2171 this september 2014? we applied last May but our application has been returned because my husband's latest work experience was less than a year last april. But now he is currently working for more than a year already. So we are thinking of resubmitting our application but we are concern about the CAP. Thank you and hoping for your ideas with this matter.

I think it should be at least 6 months valid from receipt date mine was same so gave it again!!!

Thank you very much for the advice and your patience. English is not my first language and I frequently encountering problems when communicating in English.

Is there a typical timeline for file transfer?

I thought a reference letter on letter head is required and my manager did provide it in official company letterhead. I did not include a note on that in my application. My manager mentioned that he is my direct supervisor and provided his contact numbers right next to his signature. I assumed the consulate will dial that number before the main reception number on the top of the letterhead!?

By "Unknown Caller ID", I meant numbers that shows up (they always show up in Taiwan), just the number is now known to the person at the destination of the calls. That is why I have to inform my supervisor.

Something that I should have mentioned upfront is verification calls have a lesser probability of occurring, but none the less, they are probable. So do not get bogged down by it at moment.

Next, As I said - there is no workaround for the unknown caller ID. After you receive the PER notification, let the person know that verification call can happen anytime in the future.

I was referring to a cover letter explaining your case. Since you have used a company letter head AND the company does not issue ref. letters, the VO could use an explanation. But again, do not get bogged down by it at the moment as I do not see verification being a critical issue for you just yet.

Going by the experiences posted in the 2014 timeline by the forum members in the past, you should be fine.

I think it should be at least 6 months valid from receipt date mine was same so gave it again!!!

The IELTS ,age ,exprience gets locked the to date on which the application is received at CIC.This is as per CIC guidelines.

Its September already . In my opinion - you should be fine with 2171. Just make sure you complete your package with the proper documentations as required and mentioned in the CIC Checklist.

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. Only applicants who meet the criteria specified in these Ministerial Instructions are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.


Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Your application has now been placed into processing. "

Documents which are NOT in English and or French, need to be translated and certified/attested.

All other documents can be sent without any sort of attestation.
