Just an update here.

July 12th 2014 - Application was received by CIC
Category 2174


August 19th 2014 – Credit Card Charged

August 26th 2014 – Email from CIC stating they will send documents to local visa office for further processing.
I believe this is the PER people refer to.
Local Visa Office will make the final decision on it

Are you sure, your application received on July 12th, 2014?? or did you mean to write May 12th???

Yes I am sure. I just checked double checked CanadaPost Tracking Website.
Received by CIC in July 2014.

Yes get the FBI PCC, validity as per CIC will be for 1 year

Try getting a written proof that they can't issue a Afghan PCC in India - if you have that you will likely get an exemption on that

I have 8yrs wrk exp. i hve wrked at 5 diff companies so i provided exp letters n recommendation letters.
My first 3 comp recommendation lettrs are not on company letter heads, since my manager moved to diff comp..i took recmnnd letters on a plain paper with their sign, phone, n email address..is that fine?

I have submitted all work related letters, i have 8yrs of exp letters, relieving letters, joining letters etc, were all submitted..

My last 5 yrs recommendations are on company letter head..

For Noc 2174

Previously another forum member by name gaganp said his DD was charged for a application receive date of 26 June! Both cases seem impossible!!
