[size=9pt] Hi dear, Your guess is as good as mine on those. I think though people from May 6th or 7th have had some movement in August, don't recall whether on fee charge or on the PER thing. I'll check SS and update this in 15 minutes. Watch out!! :P

Some for sure just haven't bothered to update is my guess. ::) But I still expect movement on some of those - may be due to complexity they are moving VERY slow!!! Just a guess, nothing else! :)

Thanks for the clarification bro...... :)

Hi Everyone,

By the grace of god, we received our 'ready for visa'/passport request last night via email. We applied to CPC-Ottawa under 2132 a few months back, so CPC seems to be doing an excellent job in terms of processing speed.

We have a few questions regarding next steps:

- Does anyone have an idea of the average processing time CPC takes to issue visas? Is it 10 days or several months? We may need to travel in the next 2 months, so can't have our passports locked up at CIC if it takes several months.

- We live in the USA - does anyone know how to send our passports/receive them back? Is Canada Post self addressed mailing label the best option?

- Regarding mailing label, I read somewhere that CIC does not like the "From" address on the mailing label to say CIC for security/privacy purposes (to minimize chances of the passport getting stolen/lost in transit). What else do we put in the 'From' address then? (our own address?)

Good luck to everyone, and may your dreams come true!

Congrats mechanical13....+1 for sharing good news...pls update ss

Not sure what you are asking...Background Declaration form has not changed. I suppose you mean Schedule 3. I stand by what I posted earlier.

They aligned the form with the eligibility chart...No box to tick not only if you have less than 1 year of experience but also if you have more than 3 but less than 4 years of experience or more than 5 but less than 6 years of experience!.. My gut feel is that the form was revised to make it easier for 'grading' and does not materially change how the number of points are calculated based on number of years of experience. All the other revised forms in August are to reflect the change in law for the age of dependents going down from 21 to 19. Again, no new information requested. So, I wouldn't worry if you used old versions of these forms (assuming you have no dependents between the ages of 19 and 21 of course!) and sent your application in August. Just make sure you use the new forms going forward....

If the description and list of main duties match what you did at your last job(s), you can count this experience for points.
Use this chart to find the number of points based on your number of years of experience.

Experience Maximum 15 points
1 year 9
2-3 years 11
4-5 years 13
6 or more years 15

Thanks. Yeah, I meant the Schedule 3 form. My bad.

I have already sent my application three weeks ago. I was just wondering how many points would CIC give to the following work experience?

5 years and 11 months in company A under NOC 2281, for instance.
11 months in company B under the same NOC.

Is this a total of 6+ years of experience? or not? How would the applicant claim points for his second job?

EDIT..
I can't buy it that the new form changes will make calculations easier for CIC. Consider this:
4 years and 1 month in company A under NOC 2281, for instance.
1 year and 1 month in company B under the same NOC.

This guy will have two records in his answer to question 12b, one ticked 4 to 5 years, and the other ticked 1 year. He will get 13 points.

How about this one?
4 years and 11 month in company A under NOC 2281, for instance.
1 year and 11 months in company B under the same NOC.

This guy will also have the very same two records in his answer to question 12b, one ticked 4 to 5 years, and the other ticked 1 year. However, he will get 15 points.

Got my point?

Hi Bro,

Really not sure when exactly your file will be transferred to NDVO. May be it might take more couple of days. :)But yes you receive an AOR from NDVO once they have your file with them.

Cheers... :)

Hi,

No need to mention all previous employers. Just mention the one which is related to your NOC.

Cheers :)

Dear zizaheer,

1. Right no issuee
2. Absolutely ok.
3. Yes this is ok since they have not given any other option

All the best......

Thank you ashif for your feedback and prompt response. I sent my documents today. Hope it is not too late for NOC 2171. Reviewing blogs here I felt I should have sent it 2 months back if I could. Keep me in your prayers.!!! One thing, I wanted to give you a rating. How to do that?

You must mention all employers in last ten years even if they are different duties, if you have at least 1 year in your chosen NOv then other employment can be other NOC and can still count points towards your total points
