By the grade of God Almighty I
Got PER
couple of hours ago.

I'm 8th May applicant. Btw I'm one of the applicant who had ECA done for Bachelors degree only but not masters. I had attached letter of explanation explaining that I was not claiming points for Masters. Good Luck every one... Really happy. SS updated.

Just done some math over new updated cap info and number of per received by the fellow Spreadsheet users, looks like its 1:4. ???

I calculated only the top IT NOCs. So looks like the SS does represents like 25% of the global pers. :-[

I can compute by my analysis that till date there is a ratio of 1:6 therefore no. of applications that are received may be around 12000 minus 2000 of rejection tolerance thus computing to 10000 PER's possible by files received till today. and Computer/IT related NOC may reach CAP by the application received till Mid Aug.

Guys,

It seems CIC has not updated the total received apps no. on the web....it still shows 555, whereas, manually adding up all occupations make the tally 887!! :o :o :o

Excellent observation, mate! Yes, the footnote has, too, been updated. It used to read May 04, 2013 all this time. And my heart started racing when I noticed NOC 1112 and 2174 had both received nearly 200 applications by the 4th!

Haha...my heart raced too!!

Thanks a lot for the replies!!

By that rule (that that's the truth), in Generic form, for my case, for "Have you taken a test....." under Language in Dependent, also I should answer Yes itself, since I have taken the test along with PA on same date, but since my result has been delayed twice for 2 weeks, and my application is complete, I am sending it without spouse IELTS result.

So should i write Yes for the generic form Q as well, but then they might think we missed sending the spouse TRF and deem the application as incomplete!! :-\

Pls suggest, or should I select No for this Q

Lol, that is tricky. I guess as long as you are not sending them the test result, selecting NO should be alright. But then people have been known to tick YES on finishing certain degrees and not submitting ECA for the same, meaning thereby that a YES is fine too in your case.

Do whatever, but just write a note in your cover letter mentioning the same.

Nevertheless, an application is incomplete only if a mandatory document is missing. This will most likely hit on your points only, which you are OK with anyhow. So, CIC can NOT render this an incomplete application in my opinion.

Regards

1.2 years of my job experience initially was in this following role. Can someone please let me know if this would be NOC 2281 (Computer Network Technicians) or 2282 (User Support Technicians)?

• Provide technical assistance and support for all users either in person, email, tickets, or over the phone - for hardware, software and application problems.
• Ensure that all requests are responded to within timeframe providing accurate and detailed information until problem resolution and customer satisfaction have been achieved.
• Liaise with vendors for computer hardware failures and warranty claims.
• Continually optimize the support process through drafting and maintaining support documentation and refining support procedures with a goal of reducing user issues.
• Maintain database of tickets through regular follow up of problems and queries.
• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and PBX telephones.
• Procure new IT equipment - laptops, servers and peripherals for users in local and remote offices.
• Provide after business hours support on an as-needed basis.

Thank you very much!!

This does not look very convincing for 2281 although its got duties listed under 2281 . Looks equally inclined between 2281 and 2282.

By Law you should click yes but than you have to wait for 2 weeks
you shall in my sight write a cover letter in place of her result,

Mention the issue and write as you dont want to give false statement, so you are including this letter to explain the cause,
and mention like i agree for not counting her IELTS test for points calculation.
or else write if you need i future, please feel free to ask for it.

Congratulations to all who got PER! See you all in canada soon ;)

So here are current ratios for 2173 & 2174. Know your chance using this data which seems close.

2174 : Applications in Spreadsheet at or beyond PER state = 67
Applications in CIC at or beyond PER state = 197

Ratio = 67/197 = 34%

2173 : 26/99 = 26%

same here, but since we havent recieved any nomination yet, we can apply for FSW.
in case we get nomination after we apply for FSW, wait till 6 months after u get nomination. In this duration if you get PER then write a letter to province that you don't intend to settle in the province. if you don't recieve PER in 6 months, apply with nomination.

In this case you shall write the same province in this application also, though you can change move somewhere alse later under FSW and this way writing the same province you are safe. That way you will have valid reason for PNP province later.
