Got PER
couple of hours ago.

I'm 8th May applicant. Btw I'm one of the applicant who had ECA done for Bachelors degree only but not masters. I had attached letter of explanation explaining that I was not claiming points for Masters. Good Luck every one... Really happy. SS updated.

Thanks for the update buddy. Many people had raised this query after one applicant "saurabk1" reported that he did not include ECA for Masters and was rejected. I believe your case further confirms that there was some bigger issue with his application probably less than 67 points.

If CIC can post the exact date of the update for the PhD category (as of August 8, 2014), what is the issue with putting a date for the NOC category ?

CIC is just teasing with you guys I suppose.

I guess the NOC category reflects at the bottom of the page where it says Date Modified: 2014-08-12

The reason i wanted to know this because, few of our group members applied in FSW13 and re-applied in fsw14. They got an email from CIC about requesting of WES duplicate report.
I also applied in FSW13 and re-applied now, so I wanted to confirm that is this case happening to all repeaters or few of them due to some constraint. You have any idea?

I don't know anything about that. But it seems from the posters' experience that paying the fee solves the problem.

I can compute by my analysis that till date there is a ratio of 1:6 therefore no. of applications that are received may be around 12000 minus 2000 of rejection tolerance thus computing to 10000 PER's possible by files received till today. and Computer/IT related NOC may reach CAP by the application received till Mid Aug.

I would say that apart from 2174 and 2173 - Caps for other IT related NOCs may well continue beyond September. Just a hunch.

No, it say SINCE not TILL, which means its start date, actually it should be 1st may 2014 ......... they only changed the year and kept the date of last year.

If it is 12th August for NOC category, then people here will stop visiting the forum, and start playing golf instead to come back later at their own convenience to apply.

I think once 15th May will be over, things will be quicker.

It is really unbearable. how could they continue doing silly mistake and slaughtering dreams.

Can you pls share us the letter? Also you may consider sending query at cio-sydney-search-enquiry@cic.gc.ca attaching the letter.

Also apply again with the rejection letter and cover letter that you can get 21 points.

I think, this is why a cover letter is being recommended by lawyer.

Hi future_canadian,

Although this point has been well established during so many discussions on this forum, but do we have sufficient instances of successful applications to prove this. Just curious because I have always found this to be an unreasonable (although lucky) criterion as far as FSW program is concerned.

Good point and I always thought it was strange too. I can't remember any specific people whose degrees didn't match their work experience. But I think I recall some people applying under finance or management NOCs who had IT degrees. And we also have some applicants who have mixed experience in finance/IT or IT/engineering. I think if you were to take the time to go through the 2013 and 2014 spreadsheets carefully you would find a few; I don't have time to do that. Maybe someone with this experience can chime in.

they send me table with total points and they give 20 points for ielts test.when i send my application i count 21 points for ielts test.my total was 67as per my calculation.i know i was on excat on breakeven point.i was worried that time
now bcoz of 1 less mark they give.everything changed.now i dont know what to do

Yes, I did my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, but I applied for NOC Software Engineer and my application got processed sucessfully

Sorry to hear about that. But may I ask - how are you sure that points were reduced in IELTS and not in any other segment(s) ?

[EDIT] just saw your response on this. Am not sure how did that happen but you could appeal to that if you took assistance of a lawyer - couldn't you ?
