Assets / Settlement funds question

It is being said that assets should be = settlement funds + (rest of stuff like immovable property etc)

Are you guys then providing proof/evidence of the rest of stuff as well ?

Now CIC only wants settlement funds, so I have written the dollar amount in the settlement fund box, and for which I will be providing the evidence.

I guess it should be alright if I leave the other two boxes (assets and liabilities) blank, or with a N/A.

Please give your words of wisdom on this.

Regards

ALERT

FEE PAYMENT FORM CHANGED on 3rd AUGUST 2014.

I request all the forum members to send updates of this kind of news.

and Why does the cic website shows Fee payment form changed in June 2014. :o :o :o :o

thanks

I just checked. You are right. (+1 for the alert)

It's too bad CIC didn't update the date mentioned on the right side of the form, but made an update inside the form.

Are they expecting people to check each form line by line, to see if it has been updated or not ?

Regards

a) Assets
Indicate the total amount (in Canadian dollars) of fixed deposits, savings accounts, pensions, etc.

b) Liabilities
Indicate the total amount (in Canadian dollars) of real property mortgages and any other personal debts.

c) Total funds available for settlement in Canada
With consideration to your total assets and liabilities, indicate the total amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and available funds that you have for settlement in Canada.

@jaxon,

Thks for sharing this.. +1 to you :)

I'm not sure if you Applied on your own or hired a Rep.. but curious to know is it a common practice with Consultants/ Immig. Lawyer to enclose a Cover letter.. and any idea, if they use a similar format ?

Jaxon911 said:

Or an alternative idea I'd suggest is that mention on the cover letter in your 2nd application that you made X error on your application received by CIC on XYZ date, therefore you would like that application to be withdrawn and this new one to be used.

And from cover letter, I remember some members were asking for format of cover letter. So here I'd like to share the (edited) cover letter which I used, I think it could be useful for some of forum members.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am [Your Name], national of *** currently living with my wife [Your Spouse's Name] in the *** Country as a holder of visa ABC. I am currently employed as XYZ by ABC Limited in their PQR office.

I didn't say it's perfect. I didn't even recommend anyone to use this format, it's just a format that I used. Most statements (especially pretentious) needs adjustment based "real" situation. In my case, they're not pretentious, rather they're reflecting what I've managed in a foreign country called UK so far. PS: I've reduced font size as it seems larger than I estimated 15pt font to look

Thanks a lot buddy so PER may be between mid September to mid Oct cool thanks a lot +1 from me

As per Charge sheet Estimate - 14th May will start charge from 8/7/2014 and 99 % by 8/28/2014.

My Guess is

Payment charge will be from 8/11/2014 and 99 % by 8/28/2014.

PER - Starts from 9/23 /2014 ( + or _ ) 5 working days.

( As per current speed PER issued for 7 May applicant - 12 June cc/dd charged - PER from 28 july )

i.e PER date - payment charge date = 46 days

So current PER speed from charge date is = 46 Days ( + or _ ) 5 working days

It may vary depends on CIC people.. ;) ;) ;)

@ pandu123

As far as my knowledge is concerned, Thomas Cook get DD made from Canadian branch of International Banks, which has turned out to be risky affair.

Sorry.. I dont understand what is the problem in this case ..
I have got DD from Thomas Cook which has given under Bank of America, Toronto, Ontario branch. So its second case which is International bank with branch in Canada. How would there be any problem with that ? Can you please provide more information about the risk
I am from India.. Please advise whether there any Canada Banks available in India

I am getting the DD made through ICICI Bank, they say it'll be valid for 6 months. Though they're not very clear on will I be able to trace it getting encashed!! First the guy said no, then he said probably through customer care you can find out.

Hope no other thing to consider while making a DD, pls suggest/confirm. Thanks!! Also, I'll be making a single DD of value 1100/- CAD instead of 2 x 550.

Hoping to send app by next week. Just waiting for WES report and IELTS result to send off the application. Applying under 2174 :D

My DD was issued from thomos cook and it has been cashed without any problem.
So i don't think there is any need to worry..

Thanks bro !! What a relief .. I started jumping around, looking for DD photocopy and checking in all the forums to see whether I have done any mistake choosing Thomas Cook
Thomas Cook has provided DD in just 10 min and the service is great .. I have been to HDFC, ICICI before but they asked so much documentation that has to be signed by Charted Accountants which is a big headache and finally I chose Thomas Cook

hi
i would be very thankfull if u help me to answer some of my questions.
I am preparing the documents to apply under FSWP in end September. I would like to know about the proof of funds Would I be required to show them at the time of submitting my application or they are required at later stage after acceptance of the application?
in form of account statement or any balance statement at that particular time would be required?
regards
