I don't exactly recall the name of the member of this forum but i certainly remember a case few days back that someone residing in Chennai received his file back when CIC had started to charge files similar to his received date. So this is not the first instance of quick return of file from CIC.

Guys,
I don't think the returned files were just sent back few days ago. The people who got their packages back should confirm the postage dates.
There are 2 stages of assessment before rejections or PER. The first stage that checks conformance with checklist may have checked for correct fees and the package would have been returned before the stage of positive or negative eligibility checks. There is no point checking for eligibility when there is incorrect amount on payment form. I read that on their website.
We don't need to belabor ourselves with whether returned mails are fast or not. They still use regular mail systems. My guess is that we're not confirming when they were actually sent back.
By the way, some 7, 8 or 9th May applicants are still not charged yet and their packages aren't returned either. We can't 100% understand the way CIC operates.
Let's just relax and take things easy!

So even DD's are not safe :o

Well i have discussed it with a friend in treasury, he informed that different bank's follow different procedures, but it is possible that the DD is honored even if NOSTRO is closed. For this purpose, the bank needs to pass certain instructions/follow certain procedures. Therefore, tell your bank that replacement of DD is not a possibility but they should ensure that JP Morgan honor's the DD till its validity of 6 months. Although, such procedure may have to follow longer path of it is not presented by CIC during its validity period but have faith in Allah and tell your bank that replacement is not the option and they have to ensure that proper required corrective measures are taken.

As per my knowledge, and confirmed by my friend, usually banks have "cooling off period" in which it stops issuing new DD's but keep the NOSTRO operational for 3-6 months till expiry of validity/encashment of all pending payments. Seemingly, your banker is opting for easier way out by offering u replacement. Lemme know the local bank name, i have few friends in treasury.

+1 brother shah2014...

Yes they should keep the all operational activities until the validity period of their issued DD....

Thankyou Soudkhan for your response on this however my apprehensions are as below:

1. self attested job duties may not be acceptable to cic. atleast get it from colleagues: Not able to catch hold of any colleague who can give me this, not sure what to do in such case
2. no need to include forms which r not applicable to u: Ok, agreed
3. affidavit of birth should be from both parents (mothers and father): I read from some other members in the forum that there is no need of an affidavit at all if my high school certificate mentions the name of my mother, father and also my DOB. I am anyway attaching this document as an additional document
4. joint account with parents is not acceptable to cic.: Ok, then in that case will the short term deposits in my name solve the purpose. But these deposits are for short term only and may be depleted in the times to come. If called for funds requirement, I can provide enough funding evidences but as of now they are not available. What do you suggest in that case.

Any other discrepancy if any other seniors can highlight, I will be grateful

Many thanks for the support here, truly appreciated.
1. U can email ur previous HR depts. and if they deny providing job duties then attach this email with ur application.
3. if ur 10th marksheet shows both parents name then it is ok
4. open an individual account and deposit required funds to get bank certificate.. later u can deposit/withdaw from that account and if visa officer ask for bank statement later be prepared to provide source of funds..

Hello, as I come from a bank, I must tell you that they can not close any nostro account till the time any outstanding liability on the bank's account has been either cleared or expired. Even if expired, there is an alternate route mechanism i.e. for all drafst payable on JPM Chase Canada will then be automatically honored by some other bank.

Or else, since Canada is not a small country, JPM Chase will definately have a global nostro account in the respective currency which will help them clear all outstandings on that draft.

Anycase, nothing to worry for you mate who has got the DD drawn on JPM Chase canada.

Cheers!

Dear Friends,
I am May 9th applicant NOC 2174
Payment mode DD
Got UCI number

Still my ECAS shows "We are Not able to identify you"

Do I have any hopes to get through my application positively or is my file rejected.where 9th may applicants already got their updated status

Can anyone help

when does your application accepted, at which time and by whom?

dear Asif bhai

How to know that my file has been transferred to Singapore VO or not?? Any notification mail form Singapore?? I have not got any mail. I had receive my PER mail form CIO on 17/06/2014;

My ECAS shows "We have received your PR application on May 5"

Query:

I've been working as a full-time in-house translator for 8 consecutive months since January this year and worked as a freelance (part-time) translator for several translation agencies at the same time from December 2012 to December 2013. Basically, up to now I haven' got the required one-year full time experience and meanwhile my part-time experience does not add up to 1560 hours, however I'm sure my part-time work experience is equivalent to 4 month of full-time work experience.

Does my work experience make me eligible for the skilled worker program?

Basically, will my 8-month full time experience and nearly one-year part time experience (equivalent to nearly 6-month full time) be considered as "one-year" work experience by CIC?

Many thanks!

Addendum to our previous assumption of DD being safe

There are 2 types of International DD (Needless to say that DD should have 6 month validity)

1. DD drawn on one of Canada's Local Bank [SAFEST OPTION - 100%]
2. DD drawn on one of Canadian branch of International Bank [lot better than CC, 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999% SAFE but still NOT SAFEST]

ONLY DD # 1 (just like Biwi # 1) is SAFE i.e. DD drawn on one of Canada's Local Bank. Make sure you get a DD DD drawn on one of Canada's Local Bank. If your local bank/agent offer's DD drawn on one of Canadian branch of International Bank DONT TAKE IT. SAY NO TO SUCH DD's to remain healthy and TENSION FREE!

The issue with DD # 2 is that International Bank may decide to close their Nostro in Canada and decide to cancel ur DD if its not encashed within 2-3 months. Usually bank's wait during transitional phase for existing DD's to be encashed and its highly unlikely that reputable bank will cancel any DD but there could be very little risk involved.

P.S: Lot of text is repetitive to emphasis the matter.

Hey guys. Feeling very anxious ::), should i have hopes and wait or give up? I sent my application under NOC 0311, Healthcare manager category and it was received by one David on the 13th of June 2014. When i check the spreadsheet from the Canadavisa office, i can see one application was received under the same NOC around the same time. Being selfish and hoping its mine :P ;D. does this mean anything? I have not heard anything from them. Since i made payments through a Bank draft and my bank cannot share information on whether it was cashed or not i am desperate and need to get information. please heeeelllllppppp!!! Is there a way i can confirm if i am successful or not this early? Should i just pray and wait? ??? :-\ :-\ :-\ I believe it will be 2 months ON August 13th..

Both are valid. You can send with your file or while VO ask you for that. Near around medical request time

Hi,

Quite frequent question here. PCC can be sent either with your initial application to the CIO, or later upon request by the Visa Office responsible for your region.
