2. For how long period, we should show the Bank Statement?

I am JJ from India. I am 7th May applicant. My CC got charged on 16th June 2014. Today my consultant send me my ECAS status - "We received your application for permanent residence on May 7, 2014"

Will be highly obliged if some body explains what this status indicates

@ ananjay .congrats ...... one query -did u send ur affidavit for ur BC after the intial appln was filed.. i read somewhere it was 4 th july ...

It means that the file has been transferred to the VO and they have yet to start processing it.

However, my confusion is, if my cc got charged on 16th June, does that mean that I will receive PER shortly, or as you mentioned VO has yet to start processing it, PER will take more time

I can understand why you explained in PER in 1 paragraph :-*
and Not even a line for PR :o

On a lighter note : print your PER mail, get it framed and hang it on a wall in your living room.
It will keep you reminded that SGP VO owes you those 2 alphabets !!

No it doesn't. It means that the completeness check is complete so the fee has been charged and the application is undergoing further eligibility review. The file is transferred to the local VO after PER.

Dear future_canadian, my CC got charged on 16th June and I am May 7 applicant.

As per my understanding if u r gonna get PER than the status shows "in process" and if it shows "we received your application on xxxx" than the PER will take more time?

Please suggest

The status would probably correspond to:

APPLICATION RECEIVED

Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
We have received your application. After checking for completeness, a file has been created and the information from the application form was entered.
