hello seniors,

need your help urgently.

My father's first name is in abbreviated form in all my documents except for my passport. I am submitting my 10th passing certificate (CBSE issued) as proof of birth and that also has my father's first name abbreviated. While in my passport father's name is mentioned in full.

Would this impact my application or this is ok. I have made a self affidavit to confirm that this is my father's name in full and in abbreviation and he is the same person. Is this okay?

Same is the case with my wife. For her also we have made self affidavit. Please advise if this is alright.
Un fortunately I cant arrange for affidavit from my wife's father since he is out of town so self affidavit should work or not ?
And for myself self affidavit suffices or affidavit is required from my father.

I can imagine how well prepared you would be with the next steps in your application processing..... i mean getting PCC's, 6 months bank statements etc etc.....

But dont know why I am getting a feeling that you would have sent the PCC and all other required docs right in the first shot with your application

My CC was charge today July 30, 2014. NOC 2263 May 12th applicant.
I have updated the SS. I wish everyone else the very best!! Now wait for per starts.

Thanks Future_Canadian.. you are the best !! I followed you in this forum through out my application process and finally I did it alone without getting help from others.. I dont know how to give +1 for you, please tell me how
any idea how to send the additional document.. I mean the process, address, what to write additional to the additional doc..
anyone who has done this, can you please shed some light and help me out.. so that I can sit tight

Once you have made enough posts you will see "good" and "poor" under people's names, this is how to give +/-. Thanks in advance.

To send an additional document you can send it to the same address with a covering letter stating what you are sending and why. Be sure to include plenty of identifying information, especially UCI if you have one, so you have the greatest chance of CIC finding your application and adding the documents.

what made you to judge 5 points? I think 5 points for schooling till 10th. But i do have 3 years of education after that.

In Canada, Secondary school (also called high school) means class 10 to class 12. So at most you can get "One-year post-secondary program credential" that is 15 points.

You can research more into google for better understanding and take decision.
