Guys,

I would appreciate your input please. I have a friend of mine who tool ILTES and he scored 6 on all sections except reading where he scored 5.5. Does this means that he has to re-take his ILTES?

For principal applicant 6 bands in each module is mandatory...

If you are applying with spouse then you can show settlement funds either in your account/spouse account/ joint...

I am a PA but my spouse dependent do not have a birth certificate and we have taken certificate from consulate general of india dubai and also from church.

And also we can not attach a copy of SSC certificate since the DOB is mentioned in the certificate is different from the passport.

please senior members suggest if the certificate issued by CGI will be accepted by CIC? or the church certificate is sufficient?

Also do I need to get the reference letters, which I got before applying...??

When you will inform visa office about change in job they will ask you what they need...they maY ask for reference letter and other stuff...

Without dwelling into anxiety, get a affidavit done and attach this with the BC. You can then relax.

I have a doubt whether cic will accept certificate from consulate general of india as a proof of birth or not!!!!
An affidavit as a proof of birth from parents side can solve this issue...

We didn't get any letter from company letter head for job responsibilities. So we had provided self affidavit, reference letter from manager along with his Business card, reference letter from colleague and letter from HR that they don't provide the roles & responsibilities on company letter head. Along with this we attached the L1 petition copy and L1 Visa copies as a proof of onsite travel in last 5 years.

Hi Sushma

Whatever you decide to do - you should go with a sworn affidavit from your husband and a document to back the affidavit. As per you - you cannot use SSC Cert for your husband and he does not have a BC. If the Church document is the only thing you have - go with it.

ALSO - get a Certificate of Birth issued by CGI Dubai. Remember - they issue a 'Certificate Of Birth' and NOT a Birth Certificate. There is a difference between the two and CIC is aware of that. This is because CGI will trust your passport details and issue a Certificate based on that. They will not go back calling your local municipal office asking them to vouch for your husband's date of birth. CIC does not recognize PP as valid proof of birth (for whatever reasons).

The best possible case you can make is accumulate all the 3 documents-

- Document of Birth from Church
- Certificate of Birth from CGI Dubai
- Sworn Affidavit from BLS Dubai (on behalf of CGI Dubai).

The affidavit will cost you AED 80 and the Certificate of Birth will cost you AED 140 (I remember the charges vaguely, they may differ).

Still no information about DD encashment, but not worried about it.

hi friends....this is regarding proof of funds.....

1. I am showing settlement funds in the form of FD. I have obtained this hefty money by selling some gold and i dont have proof of selling that gold (that gold was in my possession for a very long time..inherited that and sold that to a local merchant without any bills). So will CIC question me about wherabouts of this money as i can't proove that i have sold some gold. But i will keep that money till i get my visa ?

2. Can i liquidate my FD money when i get visa on my passport or do i need to keep it in the form of FD till i land there ?
