Dear Friends,
I had submitted my application & reached CIC on 20/7/14.But the latest development is i have resigned from my current company & will be joining the next company in 3 months from now. Please suggest how do i update CIC regarding this?

Letter - ? Mail - ? Call - ?

Since i am a first time applicant, i do not already have a unique reference no to map to my application. Please suggest..
Don't do anything, sit back, relax and enjoy your transition period. Once your file is transferred to your local VO, inform them about the recent changes.

In Generic Application form-

What is Dependent type for spouse? Type- A, B , C or Type 1 , 2 ?

Checked ECAS and it says in process, app rcvd 8th May. Tanx

no worries...when your file gets transferred to local VO then you can update it. local vo asks for updated documents when they get your file and that is the time to update :) :) :)

I am 8th May Applicant and I have got my DD en-cashed on Friday (11th July). I have to get PCC from US and India. I have checked for India. It wont take more than 2 weeks time but for US PCC clearance I guess it would take 4 to 6 weeks. I have not received my PER yet but is it right time to send application to FBI to get PCC. I may get PCC around August End and hopefully can get AOR also at the same time..May be Aug End or Early Sept..

Please advise..

Also, for NDVO, after AOR when can they ask for PCC, MR.. I guess they ask Passport along with Medicals..

Yes please start the process for getting the PCC...that ways you will be well prepared with everything that NDVO is going to ask for.

Hi,
Someone in forum used HDFC cc and his card was charged successfully without any issues. Bank just called him to verify if transaction is legit from some mumbai number (022XXXX). However,You can call and check from bank the international limit on your CC as it varies from local limit.

For all Indian applicants
Paying through Credit Card

RBI has set a threshold limit for international transactions at INR 75,000/-. If you are paying CAD 1250 and more, kindly get your threshold limit increased or abolished. At today's exchange rate CAD 1250 is equal to INR 70,000/-. In addition to this bank will charge 3.5% transaction charges.
Tomorrow, if forex rates change then, you could be in trouble and fell short of money. Kindly talk to your bank's customer care and let them know that you will be charged by Citizenship and Immigration Canada in Sydney, Nova Scotia and they should honour the payment.

Support such high impact announcements that are made in this forum with some solid dependable news link. Can you please share the source of this news?

Until last week I had my credit card issuing companies assurance that the transaction will go through. But if RBI makes a blanket decision for all banks, then I may have to validate this again with my bank.

All this only after we see the news is from authentic source. So please share the source of this news

yes...you can call the bank or you can also logon to the HDFC website and go to credit card section and from the left choose>>> International limit and there you can specify the international limit for your card. I did expand my limit using the web option. :) :) :) :)
