Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I am aware that the validity of Demand Draft used inside India is 3 months as per RBI rule but I also have come to know from others
that the international demand draft holds a validity of 6 months. I have come across many forums where it is mentioned that the validity
for international demand drafts(Banks, Thomas Cook etc) is 6 months unless the validity is mentioned on the draft.

I would appreciate if you could reconfirm as this is of high importance. I have forwarded my application for Canadian Immigration and would
not want it to be rejected due to validity reason. There are also many other applicants who have taken DD in CAD from Thomas Cook for
the same purpose.

Thanks,
Nagini

Hello,
I have made a demand draft (In Canadian Dollars) from Thomas Cook for the purpose of applying for Canadian Immigration ( FSW-2014 ).
The validity is not mentioned on the DD. I have been hearing mixed opinions on the validity of international instruments as being
3 months / 6 months.
Could you please confirm the actual validity of foreign currency demand draft?
Thanks,
Nagini

Hello Everyone.

Me and my spouse are applying for PR from India. My baby is a US citizen, we are not planning for his PR yet. Will he need any visa to enter in canada OR he can directly land in canada and get his visa on port?

Thanks

This shows that well aware customers have more knowledge than the actual working people

Brother,

He will required to be added on ur application too.....

Difference will be- Ur PP will require Visa stamping and CoPR but for ur child-he will not require Visa stamping, he will get only CoPR (confirmation of PR)...

So u willl need to include all his info on the forms and his fee payments (150 CAD) too....:)

Where have you been bro... I was about to ask avatar about why he doesn't want to include his child in PR application, but i guess he has a problem, his baby's US passport has been lost in india..
Please suggest what can be done in this case...

My application was received by Mike on 7th May. CC was charged on 20th of June. I checked the status in ECAS using last year's UCI. It says Inprogress with message "Application was received on 7th May"

But, I have not received PER. Is this a cause of concern? Did anybody from 7th May applicants received PER.?

Hello Airen,

Have you seen CAS modified date has been changed for your record post CC charge? if yes, you are all good. reason, In process has three stages so file will move to next without any update to parent "in process". o

I have applied under category 2171. Application reached on May 1st, CC not charged.
I was helped yesterday by the forum members with phone numbers and email to reach CIC.

I sent them a note and even called them. The officer on the call didn't gave me any update and asked me to write an email.
I will try calling them again today.

If my application is being returned due to some reason, then I should wait to find out the reason why it is returned or should I just start working on the new one.
As it is now,my honest advice for you will be to start working on a new application.
Start the process of getting originals for IELTS TRF and ECA report while you wait for a response.
Personally,I feel your package may have been returned and if you have not gotten it now,you will be jeopardizing your plans in the caps for your NOC.
We may not know what is wrong with your previous application but for you not getting charged, something definitely is WRONG.'
In the first instance,if you have used credit card for your first application,i will suggest you prepare to use DD for this new application.
The trick is to send a new application devoid of error and i believe with constant interactions with this thread, your next package will be a success.
Calling CIC will not yield much positive result...they will always give you genetic answer.
Please start preparation for a new package as soon as possible.
Cheers.
