If CC is not charged and no formal communication has been received from CIC, how can one use ECAS to check his status?
Anyone , any ideas ?

I just want to double check whether my fee is charged or not. I see my ECAS showing as We have received you PR application on 7th May and status is inprocess. does it mean that they have already encashed the DD ?? i have not taken the DD from a bank, the DD is from cox n kings, so its a bit tough to get the status of the DD

I think you 90% through for your DD encashment.
This will be confirmed when you receive your PERS notification.
Relax and calm your fears.....all DD 7th may applicants are in the same shoes as you are.

Resubmit with new ID and request Admin to delete old one.

Hopefully you are going to receive per soon...
Dd might be encashed or about to encashed....

Thanks Bro, that was a relief though. It'll be good i check with cox n kings once on the DD status. they might provide a clear confirmation.

You can only check for your updates/status on ECAS if you have UCI number.
If you don't have UCI,you can't check your status on ECAS status.

Hi,

does part time job gained while studying in the UNIVERSITY also count as valid work experience for FSW ?

Of course it was a paid job, and I can get a reference ( experience ) letter from my employer with all my job duties and salary and no. of hours worked ..

I just want to make sure that it won't be an issue for the officer ..

also, if anyone was in a situation like this please let me know what happened with his application ..

Can I count part-time work toward the work experience requirement?

You can count part-time work toward the work experience requirement, as long as you were not a full-time student at the time.

However, you must have gained the equivalent amount of experience as someone who worked full-time for at least one year (1560 hours)


So, unless someone with similar situation can confirm that his/her part-time work experience (during full-time study) was accepted, I'm more inclined to believe that it will not be accepted.

You are compulsorily mandated to notorize every document of yours that is not in English.
It means that any document or supporting document that you want to include in your application which is written in your native language,You will
Translate it.
Certify the translated copy.
Notorize the translated copy.....and include photocopy of the original native document/supporting document in your package.
Include the certified/notorized copy in your application (including the affidavit of the translator).
If your documents are in English.....it is a waste of your hard earned cash to notorize as it does not add any positive view to your application.
You must also understand that there is no penalty for notorization of English documents....but it is not necessary.

You are mistaken here. No need to notarize documents which are in english. As specified by Kollins, only non-english docs need to be translated and notarized.

Following information is required in marriage certificate
Your name
Your Spouse name
Father's name of bride and groom
Date of marriage
Place of marriage

Name of authority with sign, date and seal.
Nothing else is required. So, don't worry about national id.

My Birth certificate Has English as well as local native language in the fields. Like Name, Date of Birth, etc is mentioned in English as well as Hindi. Does this need to be translated?
