No, that's not true. One year means one complete year, no less and no more! The number of hours per week required is slightly less than 40...if I recall correct it is 35 hours per week at a minimum to be considered as full-time. Also keep in mind people will take time-off during the year so that is baked in as well (whether or not person actually takes a leave does not matter). Rest I leave it to you to do the math. Cheers!!!

To me weekly hours amount to 30 (1560/52) or at actual whichever is higher.

What someone referred to you as a possible requirement for lawyer, is in case of some complication in your case (a rare occurrence). If that happens and you have filled your application through a consultant, you may still need help of a lawyer. Yes, consultant may further reduce the possibility of such event, but its already negligible. At that stage (God forbid), you can obtain legal advise from lawyer at an hourly rate, which will be very cost effective.

However, if u think that ur NOC will get filled quickly, you may consider hiring a consultant to expedite the whole process, but at max it will save you a day or two. We all are here to help you pro bono.

P.S: In old days when processing time was around 2-3 years, lawyers help was more frequently required due to change in circumstances over the period, but know its taking far lesser time.

I have already submitted original ECA report, but not marksheets and degree certificate. I am planning to send my marksheets and certificate through another courier, because I have my UCI no. Will send by today? can someone help....my application will be rejected by CIC? Very confused.... what to do?

Can we insert two NOCs on economic classes form if there are multiple NOCs associated with your job for eg; accountants/auditors and finance managers? reason being that in earlier days of your job, you might fit in one NOC and as you gain more experience, you may fit in another NOC category.
