Guys I went to ICICI bank today, to check if international DD's are valid for 6 months. They only told me the validity of international DD is 3 months.
And if the validity is to be increased then they need the original DD back.

I am stuck in a situation now, I am sure CIC wont encash DD prior to 3 months of issue seeing the speed at which they are going. I am yet to submit my application, so please advise

These rules are driven by RBI guidelines which would be same for all banks. Not sure why your Bank asked for original DD back. They can't increase the validity to 6 months.

Yes I intend to get the document corrected. But my parents are living with me in Dubai and only going back to India in the end of August. So rectification is not the quickest in my books at the moment.

I have taken duplicate certificate of birth from Dubai Indian Consulate just before 7 days,,,,,,,While filling applicaion form they asked what purpose do you want the certi and we told them for Canada immigration.......I think consulate issued BC is valid.....

I am going to send BC issued by consulate general and SSC certificate in my application...Let us see what happens...

Point taken. I was sure of my answer hence I put it here, else as you said I would have mentioned that I wasnt sure.

I think the last year the rejection was not due to certificate from consulate but the fact that he did not include a birth certificate at all and the other person wanted to know if the consulate authorization will work.

And in another case the CIC call center itself clarified as well that they do accept the consulate's certificate.

No.. last year an applicant submitted certificate from consulate in mauriitius as proof of dob, and it was rejected because it was not taken as valid proof.

I believe an affidavit will be required with the remaining documents that you are submitting.

Speaking of BC --- I sent in a Hospital Birth Certificate (Shows, Parents Name / Residence Location / Weight - Time etc.) along with a Bachlor's Degree showing Father's Name an Birth Date. So hoping for the best here as well .. ??? ??? ??? ??? :-\ :-\

Following line is written on certi...

"CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY OF BIRTH OF AN INDIAN CITIZEN WITHIN THE CONSULAR DISTRICT OF CONSULATE GENERAL OF INDIA,DUBAI"

I got this certi for my spouse as she was born in Dubai......her parents is in Dubai currently,,,,,,how can i make affidavit by them
and what kind of format is required for affidavit???

Just validated the generic form, it shows total 10 barcodes.8 on one page and 2 on another.
So these 10 barcodes need to be placed at top page ??
9 and 10 barcode have below consent and declaration so as it is need to put....??
