nskatcv interpretation and analysis of syntax is very plausible, but in my opinion its asks for "6 months consecutive stay" in last 5 years. My interpretation is based on
1. A person is usually considered "resident" if stay is more than 6 months.
2. It asks for single From - TO date for each country.
3. I have similar situation, and my consultant was aware of it but he did not ask me to enter anything here (could have been erroneously ignored by him, in which case, i may be in trouble :o )

In my opinion, go for any of the option, and then explain it in your cover letter with specific reference to this question. This way, if change is required CIC will make it for you.

CIC does not use the word "consecutive" here while in other situations (for example in case of PCC) explicitly states "consecutive" stay. Therefore, I am inclined to believe that non-consecutive stays of more than 6 months should be mentioned here.

Since it is not clear what CIC wants, my best bet would be to include these stays and play safe. There is no harm afterall for mentioning these stays while there could potentially be harm in NOT mentioning it. However, if you have already sent your application without mentioning it, I wouldn't worry too much either. I don't think this would lead to a rejection at any step.

1. Not true for all countries.

2. Very insightful. I agree. But there are also only 2 rows, so anyhow a person might have to add extra sheets if lived in more than 2 countries (consecutively for 6 months). Why not add a sheet to list all From-To dates.

3. What is his success rate ? :P

You can still choose that NOC, provided you get sufficient points (67).

But am surprised why it wasn't considered a Bachelor's ?

Hey guys, another question, I need to put a cover letter that will state that I don't have a birth certificate and will be providing 10th and 12th marksheets and will also be mentioning that since I am in the US, will be selecting CPC Ottawa processing center and that I have provided work visa and passport visa copies, wanted to know if anyone has any format or templates for the cover letter/statutory declaration?

I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

any comments plssss???????

It is first come first serve basis, sorted by date they receive applications. If you look at the spreadsheet, it will be clear.

Hello guys !

The date i have decided to courier my application through to CIC will be a total of 11 Months and 22 days FULLTIME in my present Job and continuing. Should I select Less than 1 year in the Schedule 3 form or should I select 1 year but less than 2 years ?

My previous company was 3 Years 20 days and adding 11 months 22 days is a little over 4 years which is what I need to get a total of 13 points but I dont want the VO to think that I am misrepresenting facts.

Can somebody please clear this confusion ?

You should select "less than 1 year." If getting 13 points from work is critical for your application then I would suggest you wait for another 10 days and then send your application (depending on your NOC). It's not good to be in the borderline.

Dont worry farhaantariq i am also on the same boat. This week CIC will start 8th may deductions for sure.. Praying god the sameee.......
