I am now to this forum and need some help.
I have a few questions:

#1 . I have seen "IELTS Request" written at many places. I dont understand that. Actully I have original IELTS Score sheet, and I intend to send it with the application. Is it enough?
#2 . I am the principal applicant. I have a wife & a child(3Years). I have got PCC for me, but do i need to get a PCC for them as well?
#3 . About the Experience Letter/Appointment letter. My Old Appointment letter(almost 8 Years old), shows the job duties and monthly salary(in Indian Rupees) and the working hours as well. Would it be okay? OR do
do i need to request a current dated one from my previous employers?

Hope someone clear my queries.

1. Yes, it is engough
2. You should send your wife's PCC
3. It is Ok

In this example your assets are bank balance plus house value, 90,000 CAD.
Your liabilities are house loan plus whatever you need to pay on annual installments. I don't know what annual installments are or how many you have.

Your settlement funds are probably the same as your bank balance, 45,000 CAD.

The way your settlement funds might be less is if any of your liabilities create an encumbrance on the bank balance.

Consider this: if you stopped paying your home loan, what would happen? The bank would kick you out of your house and take it back. But could they take the cash in your bank balance? If the answer is no, the home loan is not relevant to your settlement funds calculation. Of course I don't recommend defaulting on your home loan, but the point of the settlement funds calculation is to consider whether the liability can reduce the amount of cash or cash equivalents if it is not paid.

On the other hand, if the terms of any of your liabilities require you to maintain a minimum bank balance, whatever the minimum is could not be considered settlement funds because they can't be withdrawn and carried with you to Canada.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot dear for detailed explanation.. I got your point.

+1 for this..

sansanlaosu,

I sent replacement forms and got PER. I have no GCMS notes, so I don't know if they actually used my replacement forms (I find it interesting, though, that they never returned them to me either). I am a first time applicant. My forms were not to amend for any serious issue, but to be extra sure about minor issues (e.g. I filed out both Additional Family Information forms with my name, though one had my data and the other had my wife's data and signature... I resent hers with her name as applicant and mine as spouse).

Here's how I did it:

1) Filled the new forms
2) Prepared a cover letter explaining the reason. As a first time applicant I had no UCI, so I provided plenty of information: name, passport number, DOB, e-mail, phone numbers, FedEx application tracking number, application reception date/time (and who signed for it)
3) Wrote "URGENT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CASE IN PROCESS" (or some such) on the envelope
4) Used the spreadsheet to carefully track credit card charges for my NOC and timed the delivery of the package so that it arrived a couple of days (I think up to a week) before I expected my package to be worked on

Others were successful fixing serious mistakes (e.g. missing signature on credit card auth form); I saw no detailed post, but I reckon they must have used a similar process. I strongly advise that given your case you give this a try. It is NOT GUARANTEED to work, but it always brings peace of mind to know you did all you could.

All the best!

Gru

@Gru Thanks a lot for informing!!!!! Can you please add further details viz., year, date received CIC your original app, date CIC received your additional docs, NOC etc. Will help a lot of members on this forum.

@CanDoIT - Hope this post will help you.

It is not a problem.By the way are you working for a US company? If not, showing in your local currency is more preferable.

Thanks

Guys,

One person in NS PNP got file refused because of funds can-not be verified.. :o :o :o :o

very strange. they can't verify the funds with bank then how do they say that ???

I am not sure I understand your question clearly. But if the bank letter/statements are provided on the letterhead with clear contact details it is easily verifiable.

Thanks.

Hi APSK,

In your timeline, you are showing that you have received AOR on June 5, 2014. But it is not AOR, it should be PER. You will receive your AOR from your visa office.

Can a person who is studying in Quebec apply in this program if he has all the necessary skills and experience ? Is their any need of some document/letter to tell intention of not staying in Quebec but of living in Canada ?
