Colleagues I need your expert advise on this small matter.

My father's name is not on my birth certificate ... I applied today to get it updated but it will take at least 15 working days, which would mean I have to wait until mid June to submit application to 2171. Now my question is, should I wait on updated version and risk cap full or would it be OK to send what I have without father's name? Is it even that critical to have father's name on birth certificate?

My opinion is you can find one legal notorised lawyer and notorised your birth certificate (he/she will add your father's name & it takes hardly one or two days ), and submit the same one.

I was a lecturer in a university as a full-time faculty member. Unfortunately, the university has a special format for experience letters and does not accept to write a duty in my experience letter. So I must write the duty myself and I am worry about it.
Please help me what do I do? If I write the duty myself, does officer accept it or reject my file? I also have personnel order and insurance.

How many people are in your family? Check the settlement funds requirement to see if you exceed it for the number of people in your family: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

We are only 2 members in family. My main concern is:

1) Is it a problem if value of liquid amount is less than liabilities?

Though if we sum up liquid amount + home value, we are good to go.

With the birth certificate, you can use class 10 certificate where your father's name and your DoB could be there. Also you can get affidavit done by your father like below:

TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN
I here by certify that (NAME), son/daughter of (FATHER'S NAME) (Father) and (MOTHER'S NAME) (Mother), was born on (DATE OF BIRTH) in (PLACE OF BIRTH)
I hereby affirm and declare that the above information is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

Write it down on your uni letter and have your HOD or dean to sing and chop it. If you have agreement of service or offer letter, your responsibility should be written there too. In the later case, only submit the reference letter together with agreement/offer letter.

Hi Nima2014, last year in the rejection list, we found that self-attested job description was rejected.

Try to get it from university or from your supervisor a separate letter stating your roles and responsibilities.

concerning to work experience certificate, i have two questions.
m a bit confused, please help. my noc is 2173.

1. do we need to write it more specifically (like client's company name or the technology we use)?
or it's just a general duties and responsibilities descriptions?
2. i have been working at the same company(same department & job title) for more than 6 years.
i found that more than 90% of my job experience match the noc 2173 descriptions.
is it a problem?

Their website indicates that their processing time is approximately 6-8 weeks after all required documents are received in their office. Anyone in this forum has done ECA from ICAS?? Any idea when I will get the report? I have tried to push them make it quicker and also offered any extra fees if required. But they said in fairness to all the cannot do anything for me. What I am gonna do? I planned to apply under noc 2281. Now I don't think I will be able to send my app before July

Since I have Japanese BC, I shall be getting it

translated into English and
get an affidavit from the person who completes the translation; and
also get a certified copy of the original document from him.

But then what should this affidavit read? Any sample format anyone can share or could think of ?

Yeah but since there is a 3 day break that unfortunately falls between these 1-2 days, it will take 5 days or more in my case.
