I just read a couple of earlier posts that were, for the lack of a better word, complaining about the ratings system that is being employed on this forum. The ratings are given by members to other members who have competently answered their questions. Hence, higher the ratings, the higher the person's knowledge of the FSW process is likely to be. The ratings system is for me, and is likely to be for others as well, a guide as to whose answers are likely to be the most accurate.

That being said, I have seen people asking for ratings. That may pressurize the person who asked the question to give a rating when he/she may not genuinely feel it was the best answer. So to uphold the integrity of the ratings system, let's refrain from soliciting ratings.

Remember, none of us here are immigration consultants here and we rely on each other to help file applications correctly.

Thanks

Dear seniors, in imm5406 I've written the applicant's name in both the forms and changed the family details.both of us signed in each form.is this right or will there be any problem.plz confirm.

So finally CIC declared new opening from 1st May -2014.

I have created this thread for helping each other --could be anything-form filling up,POF queries, mental support etc .

Since this year 50 category will be open having a max cap of 1000, so this will bring more opportunity to be a successful applicant for an period.

Wish every of u have a successful dream to live on the land of maple leaf country very soon.. :D
Hi, I just added the details in the form but cannot see them on the sheet, please guide, thanks.

In Economic form,

Asset
Liabilities

has to be declared ..

1- I have Home loan .. Do i need to declare it?
2- Asset- Does that include Property Registry copy as well? along with settlement fund

Please reply ASAP

Declaration of Loan: Yes, I think you should.

Assets = Settlement Fund (liquid assets and you will move into Canada)+ other liquid assets that you won't take when moving Canada (if any)+ Property, gold, cars and any other fixed assets.

Hi Randev,

Thank you for your opinion and also for specially checking on the spreadsheet. I really like the spirit of this forum where people are helping each other without any ulterior motives. Thank you once again.

The Team Leader position is actually Team Leader - Learning and Leadership, which actually falls under HR (Training and development)

Am just worried, even though many people are not applying in my category, there is still a cap of 25,000 for FSW. And I am worried if I would be on time by June end with so many hot NOC's already being present in this NOC.

@ Royston

I think you should be fine if the Team Leader category falls under the HR Department. You may want to include the fact that this Team Leader position falls under HR department in your cover letter (Some on this forum have submitted additional explanations in their cover letters).

Better still, if you haven't yet obtained the letter from HR, ask them to explicitly mention that the Team Leader position is under the HR department - that should save you from any problems that could arise.

I wouldn't worry too much about the overall cap of 25,000 getting filled, and especially this early. Last year the overall cap was 5,000. Even when the program ended on April 30th, the cap was not reached! This year the cap is much larger this year, so the chances of it being reached are less.

What's your NOC?

Its 1112, I had applied in 2013 but application returned due to cap full. I will be updating my details once the docs reach Sydney.

All the best for your application :)

Hi,

Could anyone please help me with a little doubt that I have?

I'm applying for the FSWP 2014 under the Financial auditors and accountants. I have done my undergraduate in Economics from Delhi University and am doing my masters in Finance from University College Dublin, Ireland, which will be finished by the time I apply for the FSWP.

I have a 15 months work experience as an Assistant Accountant between my school and undergraduate degree (as I took a gap year after school). I'm also working for 3 months in Citi, Dublin this summer in a similar role.

I just wish to know if the work experience prior to my university degree will be counted as an eligible work for the FSWP. I'm really confused about this and would for someone to clarify this for me.

Regards,

Arjun

Hello everyone,
I am a returning member from a failed attempt in FSW 2013 :) so I know the importance of linking up here and helping each other out by sharing information.
Well to begin with I have a question ;). My wife had applied last time in FSW 2013 and the application was returned as the CAP was already filled. But it seemed the application was checked to some extent as I saw red pen markings on the forms and a UCI was allotted with a red pen. While filling the forms this time 2014 we have filled the same UCI in the form. I hope we have not gone wrong???
Second question : I have got an offer of PhD from a university in Ottawa and would like to apply for open work permit for my wife along with my study permit. Is it ok as she has also applied for FSW 2014?

Hi, Could you tell me how come your wife get an open work permit if you applied for PHD ? Is there a rule like that ?

if your employment was paid, full time, and it fits into one of the needed NOCs, you can claim points for that and you can count it as your work experience. it does not matter when it was, before of after your actual degree, it just needs to be full time, paid.

i don't know if its a rule, but yes, one can get it, without any problems.

An experience letter from my previous employers are enough or not ?
I have lost the appointment letter from them and couldnot attach them with my application.
