HELP: what would you say about it?

my application was received at cio on may 8, 2014. lets suppose another applicant's app is received on may 20, 2014. now I know that cio will take average 2 months to issue any update for my app.

is it possible for the applicant whose app is received after mine, to call cio and get uci or any other update on his/her app before mine? people are saying no matter when ever ur app is received, just give a call to cio, they will give u uci on phone and prefer to process ur app for per than those applicants whose app was received b4 you.

is it really the case? I mean is it possible to call them and get uci sooner than those who applied b4 me? is calling necessary to get your app processed faster then those who have just applied and waiting for cio to contact them rather then contacting cio themselves? if I don't call them for any update or uci then they will process my app late then those who contact them no matter their app got there late then mine?

what I have read on cic website and other relevant websites that those whose apps are received 1st get processed 1st. its like FIFO, first in first out........but I m seriously worried about what people saying about calling and getting uci and updates so that app is preferred to be processed earlier than those who don't call and just wait for cio to contact them.

thanks for the advice in advance.

I don't know from where you got this information from. At least CIC says its FIFO process until PER.. Later it depends on local VOs. But if u haven't heard back from CIC about ur application within 3 months from application date. You can send them email to know the status about your application. In that process they might reveal your UCI number but it is to enable you to reach them back to know more about application. But it doesn't really mean they will expedite processing of your application. These are my thoughts , some experts or fsw 13 applicants can throw some light on this issue

Its a fifo system and as soon they receice your envelope they stamp on it by giving date. In order for them to check on cap, instead of opening the envelope they can sort which NOC you have applied as you need to write your noc in address field. How can CIC give u uci number out of thousand of applicant they receive. UCI number you will get to know when your application is processed or rejected. So relax just wait to get email or letter from CIC.

Really like your answer. It just makes sense. +1 added

Does anyone who applied on May 1st previously had UCI? If yes, you could check your application status using UCI. So if the application processing started then it could be seen. That would be best check for those who payed via DD but not CC.

Please advise.

I doubt, whether to apply for immigration or not. The problem is that my estimated score is 66 from 100.
Experts, please advise, can I be qualified as federal skilled worker ?

Thanks

No - you don't qualify. You need a minimum of 67 point.

If someone don't fill the generic form with the computer rather write with the pen, than CIC's staff give input manually into the system by looking at the form [and curse the applicant :P :P :P].

you really believe that they have made a data base, based on all of the info from the generic application forms from all of the applicants (together with the ones whom they were cursing in the process?? ;D) i highly doubt so, especially since i've consulted with an immigration adviser regarding UCI for this year application and change of NOCs... but, of course, i might be wrong.

No problem, you can go ahead with 2174.
Well for the reference letter, it is not necessary from HR. You can ask to reporting manager or anyone who can confirm later if verified.

Thanks again !

From HR I will get the reference letter which will have date of joining and designation but it will not have duties performed and pay.

For pay I can give appointment letter and pay slips but for duties do I need to submit affidavit, stating all roles and responsibilities and signed by my manager ? Please suggest.

yes, you are correct. it is based on fifo. method. also, based on the experiences of last year, once a person's application gets into the process, a person receives an UCI, but only after the whole process of reviewing is done, that person will be notified about the outcome. this is the time when one can call, obtain its UCI, but if the whole process of reviewing of an application is not over, the answer can only be "your application is under review". you will get an email (if you've provided one in forms) only after the whole review process is over. so, whether you call before hand and ask for an UCI, and get an incomplete answer or wait for CIO to contact you, only after the review process is done, you will be notified if you have received PER or NER.
