I sent copies of my old Passport also. Better to be on the safer side.

Old passport copies not mandatory. The new passport carries the old passport no. any which ways.
However as rightly said, they can be sent just to be on safer side.

CIC also requested FBI PCC and RPRF - CIC has given 60 days to submit docs.
I had sent both(INDIA and US PCC) along with the application. Both expired in August. They did not request Indian PCC. Might be because i never went to india after i got my Indian PCC. But i was still in the US early this year.
I have already applied for FBI PCC a month back - and waiting

Yes dude they have already picked up speed.... cc/ dd charging time has also reduced from 120/130 days to about 90 days in many cases.

Dear Valued Members,

As I am resending the application back to CIO which was returned back due to lack of foreign educational qualification documents, so now could it be possible to change the method of payment from CC to DD ?

Which is the most preferred and safest method as I don't want to bear any risk on this ?

If its DD then it should be in the favour of "THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA" right ?

I having few doubts on DD part :
1) Where the DD need to be payable. Any specific city in Canada or whole Canada ?
2) Which are the preferred banks. As I am living in Thailand, so local THAI banks DD will do or I need to get from the International Banks like CITIBANK, Standard Chartered etc....

Looking forward for your valuable comments.
