12b) NOC = 2171 and Nominated Occupation = Business Analyst (latest)

12b) NOC = 2171 and Nominated Occupation = QA Engineer

Several applications last year were rejected due to "did not sign payment form" I looked at the payment form but found nothing to sign. Can someone advise?

Well, in my opinion Quality Assurance Lead (Yes, Title does not matter btw following are related titles under 2171) matchs that of 2171 go ahead, but if it matchs 2173 (which i dont think so), use that code. Remember, although it is preferrable that you are currently employed under your primary NOC, but its not neccessary. As per the instructions, you only need to have 1 yr experience in your primary NOC in last 10 yrs.

Following are title related to software quality assurance (pg 685 onwards in PDF format of NOC), all of them are under 2171 (at the cost of repetition, i did not find any under 2173). So feel comfortable and apply under 2171.

Who says you are not IT expert your understanding is 100% correct. I think that's the drawback of working in multiple roles with single title!

I myself is more confident towards 2171 as it's my current PURE title/role as well (but it's just started 3 months back). I will try to get updated Experience Letter from my previous employer and ask him to include only 2171 responsibilities and make my life easier. Do you think it will work in this way, considering, my previous job title "Quality Assurance Lead" (as per many members, title doesn't matter)?

I have shown it to my senior colleagues as well and they are also saying it's mixture of both NOCs

Yes brother you are right all QA related titles are 2171 (and JD is already matching) so I think there is no point to think about 2173 now. I have finalized 2171.

In Generic Application Form, country of issue of passport

original passport issued in Mumbai, India
renewed passport is issued in Muscat, Oman


so, what should be the country of issue, when I am writing current passsport no?

i have 6 years of exp. from 2008 -current

1 year as junior software engineer = responsibilities matches to 2172
3 year exp as associate Software engineer = responsibilities matches to 2174 on 2 responsibilities matches in my experience letter to the description given on website.

2 year experience as senior software engineer -currently working =responsibilities 85% matches to 2174


do i get points for my 2172 ? experience ?
my job designation is like software engineer and and 2174 is computer programmer. what should i write in my primary occupation?
do they count my 6 year exp? or they will cut my 1 and 3 year experience as less responsibilities matches how do i calculate my points ?

any senior pls help

I didn't get your point. Do you mean Titles in Q12 a/b should not include "Business Analyst"?

When u are paying by Credit card then u will need the "Card holders Signature" on the form...

If are paying by DD/bank draft then no signautre is required on the form....

That was the reason for rejection --absent of sign on while applying with CC....

Hi All,

As you all said, finally my ECA status has changed and received an email stating that expected completion date of evaluation is 28th May.

I verified spreadsheet for 2173, it shows 42 entries till now, in that case can we assume that at least 250-300 (5 to 6 times) applications are submitted in 2173 and still there is a hope to be in cap. My application may reach by end of first week of June.

For Bangladesh, we have option to do this by NOTARY PUBLIC...

So i guess u can also do that from ur Home Country...

Check section B(CREDIT CARD PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION) of the Fee payment form if you are paying with CC(If DD,dont come near this section at all)
You will see a ....
Name of Cardholder
Signature of Cardholder
Date
....you are to fill these place if your options of payment is CC.
