May 28 may applicant here, received PER on the 20th of September (rest of the details in my sig). Wanted to let you guys know that I had new born baby in march and I couldn't send his passport copies as it wasn't ready yet, so I attached his BC, receipt from the consulate that showed that I have applied for his passport and a cover letter explaining the same and got through. Hopefully this would help some one else in such a situation, as I couldn't get an answer for this anywhere

Regarding PCC, i was a bit confused with what is mentioned in the website VS checklist.
WEBSITE: Who needs a police certificate?

In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18.

The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply.

CHECKLIST:
Note: Police certificates are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue; therefore depending on the processing time of your application, you may be requested to submit new certificates.

In my case, i have a police clearance valid for 1 year. Exp on AUg 2015.
If in GOds will of me receiving PCC request, lets say by January 2015, should i again get a new one? since in the website, police clearance should not be more than 3 mos before you apply. What should we follow? Checklist or website?

It states , "3 months before you APPLY"

Which means you are fine if you have applied or applying before October 2014

Dear friends,
I f someone send with the file a bank certificate as a proof of fund, is it possible to get update request from VO that require 3 or 6 month detailed bank statement.
and if the candidate fail to provide this statement could it lead to reject his application ?

Yes local visa office might ask you for pof
If you have not kept money in your account and "used it" , you can re-arrange amd explain them you had a urgent need to utilise those funds for sometime and now you them back ( make sure that's genuine reason)

Hi all,

I dont have surname in my passport, and as per CIC help desk FAQ's answer,in the surname filed of generic app form (IMM0008) i wrote my given name as mentioned in the passport, and mentioned 'not applicable" in given name field. However, at the top of each page of the form the applicant name is shown as Muddasir Ahmed,N. Why is there an addition of ,N . Is this because i dont have any surname. Is it an issue??

Yes, PF, Gratuity, and Pension Fund are all well accepted. However, I've seen some indian case where PF cannot be withdrawn in certain period of time. In that case, the surrender value should be shown as PF.

It is automatic generate form which takes the First alphabet of given name. So it is N (1st alphabet of Not Applicable)

It can be done for a short period of time with justified explanation.

If someone withdraw for long period of time, VO will suspect that the money has been borrowed specially if money has been put back after VO asked for statement.

So, everyone should try not to withdraw the money as much as possible - it's safe.

That means after submitting bank statement and balance certificate, one can withdraw and use some of POF's money when required... and after that if Local VO ask for updated statement,, an explanation can be given..right...???

1) As i435 rightly said, designation is not important, it is the roles and responsibilities which count.
2)
a) If you are having roles and responsibilities on proper company letter head, then you need not refer any proof related to your experience
b) If the roles and responsibilities are not on company letter head then you need the following
- Affidavit explaining why you are not able to provide reference letter on company letterhead.
- Also your supervisor Business card else Id card copy with his sign on it.
