Well, as per one of the very renowned Canadian Immigration Lawyer, if you have to include value of property then it has to be properly EVALUATED/APPRIASED by some internationally acceptable appriser. Self assessed value is not acceptable. Additionally, value of similarly propertise advertised on real estate website, is not acceptable. Disclaimer, the property he opined was piece of land free of any obligations.

However, for house under mortgage, you may give it a try by using only the value of loan. Then explain in your letter that bank gave loan amounting to 70-80% (whatever the bank doc says) of property value and we have paid this much installments etc etc.

Ofcourse. Assets can be your house property value too for which you have taken loan. Go with this. Apart from this, add other details like PF + gratuity + shares etc in assets. But in settlement funds only mention the amount that you have readily available with you i.e. in bank account or as fd.

This is a serious problem lot of applicants face. I have been reading this blog since a long time and if you search on previous year pages, applications have been rejected because job roles and responsibilities were not submitted on official company letterhead. I suggest you try your level best to get from any previous employer a certificate on the letter head. All you need is one yr to atleast qualify and make sure all of the details as specified on the checklist are present.

Work Experience
For the principal applicant:
. Letters of reference from all your employers for the past 10 years.
Letters must be:
. written on company letterhead,
. signed by the responsible officer/supervisor,
. show the company's full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses,
. stamped with the company's official seal (if applicable).
Letters must include all of the following information:
. the specific period of your employment with the company,
. the positions you have held during the period of employment and the time you spent in each position,
. your main responsibilities and duties in each position,
. your total annual salary plus benefits in each position, and
. the number of hours worked per week in each position.
• Additional supporting documents may include:
. copies of work contracts, and
. copies of pay stubs.

The best I can do is attach a system generated job description as most of such documents are issued electronically at my company. But this description is too generic.

I am unable to think of any other way out. Any suggestions?

Unless the evaluater had big fight with his spouse before reviewing your application, your exp from 1st job shud be considered full one year for 2 reasons.

1. days are not imp to them, thts y they only ask for Yr&month not dates.
2. Secondly, 1 day will not add any value to your employability in Canada.



So go ahead with it.

But the problem is I need atleast 3 year work experience to get to the total of 67. ;D So, can't really discard it.

Is there any way to confirm this thing with CIC?

EDIT: It seems I'll be in 2-3 years point slab, so I guess even my 2+ years experience from 2nd job will be sufficient. But I suppose I'll submit both my work experience letters anyway.

Dear Members

I applied for IELTS test for May 10, 2014 through british council. For this i applied online on April 29, 2014 and submitted the fee through designated bank on may 02, 2014. They have mishandled my case and are not allowing me to sit in the May 10 test and are offering me May 17, 2014. They also sent me acknowelgement for my test and it was mentioned that my seat is held for this provided if i pay the fee in next 5 days and upload the relevant ID docs, which i did. it was also mentioned in the email that if you dont pay within deadline (5days), your place will be cancelled.

But now they are saying that at the end of this email, it is a also written that "Your application will be processed upon receipt and test date will be confirmed, subject to availability" and on this basis they are not allowing me to sit in.

Dont you people think that these are mutiple below condition in single email and candidates are being fooled; i-e

1. A place is held for you at the test centre shown below. A test place is confirmed only after the required ID document has been submitted and approved and payment has been received.
2. Cancellation only when they do not receive the payment

and finally even if you meet all desired requirements, they have mentioned buffet condition that "Your application will be processed upon receipt and test date will be confirmed, subject to availability"

I kept following them for the last 5-6 days through emails and phone calls untill finally when i went personally, they simply said that your seat is not in May 10, test date. I may avail May 17 test date or can get refund of my money.

Did this happen to some one and shouldnt i raise official complaint against their vague email commnication?

i after submitting the required fee for IELTS, also applied to WES for credentail assessment and hoping that i will catch up the train for immigration of 2014.

What do you think that if i appear in May 17 test, whose result will come by June 01/02; will i be able to make it before cap ceases......

Yes you are right that i shoudnt waste my energy in fighting as it is very difficult to fight with organisations but these organisations ideally should not be playing with individual life/career. Whole of my planning went out. By June 01/02, i was not in pakistan and i had to travel to UAE and appear in one exam there. if i wait for IELTS ressult, then i have to skip my exam. Further these 7 days in this tough immigration competition are very crucial. One may be out by single day difference and if you find out that u are not in immigration queue due to 1-2 days difference then it is unbearble loss of your efforts, money and time.

i am hardly meeting the required points/score of immigration and if i dont make it for this year, then i will lose 2 points next year for my age.. So you can imagine, i will probably not make it ever for immigration and my whole planning will be out.....and it deeply hurt because of some one's mismanagement/miscommunications.

Any way My primary NOC is 1111 Financial auditors and accountants; however i may consider applying under 0111 Financial managers. What do you think that if i appear in May 17 test, whose result will come by June 01/02; will i be able to make it before cap ceases......

dear seniors,

i missed to send the form IMM5406E for my spouse .. i am, blood less now ..... after this event... !! , i have searched and took below actions

1, try to stop the DHL service ( but when i came to know about this it was too late ) it was just delivered at that time , Bad luck
2, i have sent an email to the CIO sydney with the forms scanned copy attached and explaining the reason


3, now i have read more on this and some seniors on this forum suggested to send the copy of the forms again to CIO sydney , ( i dont have any UCI or any other identification received from the CIO office ) as applicaton just received to them at 7th may 2014.


Any suggestion ? about reseding the forms again to them , or wait till they come back , with two answers , 1 returning back , 2 requesting the forms ( very un likely )

Please advise , .... (actually we were in pacnic at time of submission because my wife was in labour during that time , 26th april 2014 ) 4 days before i sent the forms and i missed this instructions on the form )
