Yes you will get through, the trick is to keep calling without any break between calls. It takes me at least 5-8 tries but I have spoken to an agent almost every time I called after 5-8 tries except maybe one time where I didn't try more than 4 times.

You should get an email atleast 1 week before the scheduled date, if not I recommend you give them a call and speak to an agent about it.

It’s the standard response for every urgent request. Call them in a week’s time to check if your request has been accepted. They won’t provide you their decision through email. Usually, if it’s accepted, you see updates on your profile on an expedited basis.
