good to see your excitement...

there are number of ppl here @ forum
- some trying to really solve their query
- some really made mistake and want to rectify it
- some need attention
- some dont wanna help others, as they might have not enough time or doesn't seems helping
- some silent observer of the forum activity

The pigeons are so shameless they often try to sit even when people are right there, so I have my doubts about this one but will give it a try and make a scarecrow for sure. I knew this one, as I have spent time online researching many options and this one was one of them, besides 'bird-eye', 'repellant-sprays' etc.

This idea can definitely work in a balcony that is enclosed from two or more sides, but with the open sky @ roof these birds are somewhat fearless in sitting shamelessly lol. I am also thinking of putting a wire mesh in some areas, though even that doesn't seem fool-proof so holding on to the thought for now.

Not only the pigeon sh1t / feathers all around looks shabby it clog the drain as well, and I hate water logging on the roof. Sorry, please ignore my rant!! :-X

it's paid online in the CAD by credit card or offline by DD
link is in the mail from email--> delhi immigration to pay it online

$490 for primary applicant
$490 for spouse, if applicable
nothing for kiddos :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Hello Seniors,

I am nearly there with my application and hope to send it out on Monday/Tues..just waiting for the dd.

Just a few last minute questions.

1) I am sending all my Bachelors notorised marksheets.

My wife has done her Bachelors and then did a Part time Diploma. I have mentioned this in the form but forgot to get her Diploma and her Bachelors marksheets notorised. Do we have to send the notorised diploma and marksheets for my wife?

2) there is a period of arnd 10 months last year when we are showing different addresses for the same time frame. We were both in the same city but she was living with her parents,and i was living with mine.This was because she had to stay with her parents due to health issues.

Will this difference in address for 10 mnths cause any problems with our application?

Only documents that are NOT in English needs to be notarized. If you are the principal applicant, I do not think you are getting any points for her education (Except IELTS), so I would say thats optional.
I do not see why it would create any problems.

For 2nd and difficult one : follow the steps mentioned below

1: get one branded tape - recorder
2: record song from "mainey pyaar kiya " (kabootar jaaaa jaaa jaaa ..kabootar jaaaaa jaaaa Jaa..jaaajaaaa )
3: now put this recorded voice on full volume and place it over terrace balcony

And send those 13k to my account , thanks .

Okay, two VERY different kinds of questions (so feel free to reply to one that suits):

2- Pigeons - anyone knows an easy way to get rid of them from sitting on roof tops (other than not having the roof lol)? Lately I am suffering from this menace, on my roof top. And feathers and sh1t comes down after rain or otherwise as well. I have seen online electro-magnetic devices to keep them away and these cost like INR 13K (not sure if they are really effective). The principle on which they work is making noise at frequencies best heard by birds (and non-audible to human ears) so these irritate the sh1t out of these birds and keeps them away. Let me know if you know an easy (yet, effective) way other than this - the thing is we don't really go on the roof much.

Looking at all the suggestion, it seems you got two option: Live with them or Leave the place.

In my history of this forum, for once I might have an answer to your query
For pigeons,u can try ti keep a teddy bear on tj roof / balcony..this has worked for people o know.. And its an inexpensive easy way which might scare them off.. So give it a try

Answer to part 2- pegions are so cute.. feed them everyday and talk to them thru telepathy; "eat my food but dont $hit here.." repeat this 3-4 times a week or daily for faster results... u can thank me once the prob is resolved

Are you sure about the email address that you gave CIC was correct?
Make sure you check the SPAM/JUNK folders.
Make sure that this address "Centralized-Intake-Office <Centralized-Intake-Office@cic.gc.ca>" does not labelled as SPAM/JUNK.
