ok guys this might be pre-mature but asking anyway......currently I m waiting for mr, in the meanwhile I m making pcc and other stuff ready.

I was also thinking about travelling....a bit on economical side. checked on the internet and found out only PIA to be the direct flight to Toronto from Karachi and charging 240000 for 2 adults and 1 child.

one stop flights are emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Turkish...charging 310000, 270000, 340000 & 370000 respectively from Karachi to Toronto having stops in Dubai, abu dhabi, Doha & Istanbul.

there are other flights which are actually "fruit punch custard bowl"...u board one career, it stops on 3 to 4 places, career changed on each stop and finally u reach Toronto. typical example is like Karachi to Dubai by fly Dubai, Dubai to London by emirates, London to Chicago by klm and Chicago to Toronto by air Canada. it costs around 250000. but its an example, the careers can be different and charges can be up and down.

what should I do? I don't want to waste money on business and first class, I will only travel in economy. business or 1st class cost atleast 100000 more on avg. plus I don't want to get tired on long journey selection. like the fruit punch custard course will take anywhere from 22 to 44 hours of journey! man I will be deleted when I land at Toronto with a wife and kid!

what indian and bd members do? what route they select and which flights? how many stops and what are the charges? what if u don't select air india or biman?

also, there is one more thing, the online search service like on google or bing, they show some really cheap flights.....costing 240000 or below! but that option is fruit punch custard, there are 2 to 3 airlines involve and 3 to 4 stops and around 44hrs journey but saving are like 80000 on avg.

May be you are checking with round trip fares ...

I guess it should be around 40-45 k person at the max

We dont need to submit original Affidavits. You can take copies of the same and notarize it. Affidavits doesnt essentially need to be for the purpose of visa, hence they may be used for other purposes. eg: in my case, i changed my name long before, hence submitted only notarized photo copies to CIC.

Okay, two VERY different kinds of questions (so feel free to reply to one that suits):

1- Am I the only one who is experiencing sluggish movement when changing pages here lately? Also, the site has been going down on and off like once in 15 to 20 days, may be this has to do with lots of folks here now or just because site owners / tech. are having a hard time...not sure!!!

2- Pigeons - anyone knows an easy way to get rid of them from sitting on roof tops (other than not having the roof lol)? Lately I am suffering from this menace, on my roof top. And feathers and sh1t comes down after rain or otherwise as well. I have seen online electro-magnetic devices to keep them away and these cost like INR 13K (not sure if they are really effective). The principle on which they work is making noise at frequencies best heard by birds (and non-audible to human ears) so these irritate the sh1t out of these birds and keeps them away. Let me know if you know an easy (yet, effective) way other than this - the thing is we don't really go on the roof much.

For pigeons,u can try ti keep a teddy bear on tj roof / balcony..this has worked for people o know.. And its an inexpensive easy way which might scare them off.. So give it a try

In my case they did it.... I m a 9th june applicant NOC 0113 Purchase Manager....They did this verification thru call almost a month back...Came to know from my HR manager few days back.....

@Syed7283: do you mean to say your CC/DD is encashed then? I submitted my app on 06/06 under same NOC and still waiting for some news....

thats probably 1 out of 1000 case CIC checking on it.
NORMAL case CC/DD gets charged approx. 100 working days since ur app reaches...so few more days for you..dont worry

LoL!! What a predicament Oscar!! I have the same issue, lot of noise in my windows, i stopped opening my windows. Fortunately, its not my own house. House owner will take the onus of cleaning their droppings every year
