I hope you are kidding here. Do you really think that an immigration department of a country will reject an application based on a misspelled letter in the name of an applicant's mother-in-law.

I have mailed them twice, on 19th-July and 5th-Aug but still they have not replied.

yes its was 21 points in ielts test but they calculated 20 points.i send them ielts test copy,rejection letter and recalculation table through courier....
it reaches cic on 21 aug 14 and today i got email from same cic officer abt PER(disregard earlier email)..

no they didnt return anything(they clealry mention that all documents they will keep in their record and fees also be a part of their process)

now with this PER email i got recipt of payment of 550C$ also.

Congrats to u!!! May I know how you notify CIO to review your application once they received your 2nd application? Did u send your 2nd application to specific address for handling rejected applications or just the same address u sent your 1st applicaiton?Since CIC has just started charging 20 May applications,I assume they process applications in order of date of receipt, I don't quite understand how CIO staff spotted and opened your 2nd application which has just reached CIC on 21 Aug 14?

If I were you, I would send the application straight away, without thinking twice about this trivial issue. People don't care about their mother-in-law as a whole, and you are worried if CIC will care about a letter in her name ? Be careful while attempting to go in such a country at the first place.

Just use the next size that will fit. Envelope size should not be a concern

Get an affidavit from notary that both names belongs to same person, I also did the same in my case.

FYI: Just to let you know that if you order GCMS notes again it will cancel previous request and place a new request dating today or whenever your order it, and it will take exactly 1 month to receive GCMS notes. If thing goes well you might also receive PPR before receiving GCMS notes. Good Luck.

Avineet you are surely in with check the current Applications received, Applications FEE payment charged by CIC and Applications received PER.
Also check the FSW2014 spread sheet link in my signature and refer estimates of World wide applications received you will get an idea.

There are Two ways of addressing this issue.
1) Make an Affidavit (Notorized) stating this error, Usually Same Name person (By Your Mother in Law)
2) Explain this issue in Cover Letter (By Yourself).

Option 1 is Foolproof.

They will reply you soon I sent them mail on June 30th and July 2nd initialy i got an auto response they replied me for both mails by aug 13 th and aug 15 th so i hope you will get the reply soon .I sent the mail in this id CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry <CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca>

hi guys,

i recently received my per however my visa processing office is in singapore. is it too late to change the visa office? the main reason i want to change is because i hear the singapore office is very slow compared to the manila office. but a lot of my docs are from singapore (e.g. degrees, marriage certificate and bank statements). i'm worried that even if i have it transferred to the manila office they will transfer it back to the singapore office because of this issue.
