Hi Guys,

Its been 10 days that i have filed my application now and as obvious I am getting restless for some time to pass and my CC gets charged and I receive a good news email. Meanwhile some small questions i have which can affect my application (not that i can do anything about it right now but still for my satisfaction )

1. The intended place to stay in my application form is supposedly incorrect, the province i have mentioned is NS, & city is Vancouver :S. What will be the affect, can anyone guide?


2. The information written behind the photos may get stamped or impressioned on the other photos due to pressure of paperclips etc...effect?

3. I have provided only 1 cover letter along with the application which explains everything of what all i have added to the application, what all I have not added and the adequate proofs & reasons for attaching those proofs. This is unlike many others that I read on the forum that they provided cover letters along with every section. I know it would have made it more easier for thee assessing officer to check the docs but I didnot get that idea before sending the app...affect?

4. Proof of funds provided is for a much higher value than the amount mentioned in the application form...will it effect??


Grateful if you all can respond with your comments so that I may decide weather to keep hopes alive or prepare for another application without wasting much time.

My NOC code is 1113 and there is NIL applications in the code as on date as per CIC website.

It will be good if you attach separate marksheets for each semester.. It will be easy for review of VO..

Combine marks sheet for all years of bachelor degree is okey or we have attach each semester seperate

2. The information written behind the photos may get stamped or impressioned on the other photos due to pressure of paperclips etc...effect? - Shouldn't be a problem..they would probably still manage to make out whats written at the back of the photoes

I know it would have made it more easier for thee assessing officer to check the docs but I didnot get that idea before sending the app...affect? - Cover letter is not mandatory anyway...so having several cover letters is again really not an issue...as long as you explained what is it you want to make clear

PCC is valid for 3 months.. Dn't send it now.. Local VO will ask for PCC with you Medical request..However there are chances that you will have to obtain a new PCC as Medical request stage will be late..

Hi,
I am 12th May applicant and am yet to receive my PER. I have however received the PCC now. Should I send it right now or wait for the local VO to ask for the same?
How long is a PCC valid?

I heard someone saying we should not stable any documents. What do I do for my semester masks card , immigration forms n stuff. I believe thy get jumbled. Any suggestions ?

You will have to wait a bit unfortunately for you CC charge and PER...but your NOC is not in demand and you should be fine...

Its a long wait but its gonna be worth it in the end

I just checked the processing time for visa and it was 11 months and now they changed it into 22 months for india.
Do they really take this much time??

No, PCC is valid for an year.

You need to send the PCC to the local VO when they request it.

I need help on USA FBI PCC. Can anyone tell how can I do fingerprints in Lahore? I have checked online and I couldn't locate a place where I can go and get it done. Help please

In Karachi it took me 15 minutes and the service is free at the Police Forensics Department. Look for that department in Lahore. Just go there and the reception will know everything about the FBI thing (they did in Karachi, so I am sure they get several applications in Lahore also). It was all pretty easy and straight-forward and free.

[size=9pt] Partner Shah, I trust you'd agree that the #s are not surprising. Don't see the need to analyze it much.

One thing to keep in mind is there are some very regulated occupations / customized to a region (like medicine, law etc.) and for experts in this field changing a territory is rather complicated. That is why even in USA medicine study is a lengthy deal - one has to redo a lot of education after completing education formalities in their country of origin. Plus even then most end up not as practicing doctors but either research / education related ones. For doctors the study / regulations are just too much anywhere! LOL that's why their charges are high too!

IT on the other hand always enjoys low entry barriers; look at USA - it has IT guys trolling all over the place. I recall there was a time when over 5,000 visas out of the total 64,000 or so (annual quota for H1Bs) were blocked each by Wipro, TCS, Infosys and the likes. Plus so many mom and pop chop shops in NJ, CA, TX were sponsoring even fake / half baked IT guys back then (this was prior to USCIS crackdown on them i.e. prior to 2009 meltdown).

BTW, finance guys are masters at SS, so not sure why someone would think excel can scare a finance guy lol. Finance / analytics guys even when they fart, they fart in excel. ;D

Also as someone pointed out doctors weren't really expecting their category to open this year, plus their ECA takes longer. IT and finance guys were waiting from last year's overfill experience, because of a mere 300 quota open in FSW 2013.

Lastly no matter what XYZ governments would like to think - one thing is for sure a Canadian pay, an Australian pay or a UK pay can never match the American pay - so most of the global top cream will want to go to America (if they can), though because of tough immigration laws in USA being able to sustain in USA in not everyone's cup of tea. That is why a lot of us who are living / have lived in USA (or had lived at one time) are now looking at Canada. That said, Canada too provides a good standard of living so very well worth it.

These are entirely my thoughts and I am not looking for debate / follow up Q&As on the above (especially on the last para LOL). Cheers!

Both of them are cool NOC (1212 and 0013)...

No issue for the NOC selection....Choose --which suites most with ur job exp.....

Unfortunately, no.

6.0 is the minimum.
