Hello everyone,

My app has reached CIC on 13th May, mode of payment was DD. Now my bank does not have any information about the liquidity of the DD. However I have my UCI number from my 2013 application which was returned due to CAP.

I am trying to access ECAS with my UCI but I am unable to pull-out any details off it. Is there any way I can check whether my DD has been charged or not?

When my 2013 application was returned there were some corrections done by CIC in my app. My name was corrected by CIC and they had advised me to write my full name including surname in the ""First name"" column and the surname written by me was cut off.

Now I have tried both ways to access ECAS, entering my full name in the surname filed and only surname in that field but in either cases I cannot pull off any details.

So kindly advise which is the right way to access ECAS.

What I think they have not updated ur ECAS yet.....

So just wait until ur PER...Even ppl having PER is not getting ECAS updates which is very much normal....

So just wait for ur turn...

About the DD - Please check with ur bank whether they can provide this info or not...they (ur local bank) are the only medium at this stage ....

Hello guys, need some help with the Payment form.

My spouse is the Principal applicant and we are paying by CC.
We have same residential address but on my CC the address is different.
So in Section A of the form where it says:

"Address of payer (if different from principal applicant");

Should I fill the address on CC or leave it blank. Just very confused. Is the exact address on CC needed by CIC to make the charge ??

Don't want to give CIC an idea of two addresses for the case.
Please suggest.

In my opinion, being a principal applicant, you can leave that field blank. When CIC uses the CC information, all they would need for the transaction are the numbers, and not the addresses.

It depends on the NOC u are going to apply. if u choose NOC0121 then u will get 9 points. If you choose another NOC- u will get 13 points

Not true. Choosing either NOC will get the same amount of points. Choice of NOC has no effect on points. Points are awarded based on total work experience in ANY NOC at skill type 0 or skill level A or B.

Need help with regards to the background verification form :

What should I mention in personal history for the period I didnt work ? whatever you were doing.


I stayed in three different places in the UK. Should I mention all the 3 addresses in the addresses section? yes

Should I mention Hyderabad address so many times in the address history ? yes

It takes some time to know about dd status...
my file received on 12 th may.. Still my ecas has not been updated... So don't worry about your ecas status...
Try to confirm about your dd status from the bank in meanwhile...

I am not the Principal applicant, My spouse is.
We are not trying to pay by the principal's CC but through mine (part of the application).

In my knowledge addresses are required or not is the merchant's choice (in this case CIC).
If they need it it might be a reason of rejection, I think.

So, it is confusing what to do.

Others have any idea ???

I have a query regarding change of my passport.
1. When should I let CIC know about the change in passport. Mu current passport is valid till 31 jan 2015 and I am applying for a new passport in october.
2. I am residing in USA and the nxt step inshaALLAH will be to ask for MR. Do i need to send the new passport information wit the MR?
3. Can I send the new passport with the previous passport (that information is given in the application) while they ask for the passport.
4. Can you please elaborately explain the procedure?

U can update ur PP info on several stage...Its up to u...

U can send ur new PP info after getting PER email (after 15-20 days of PER since CPC does not send AOR email) ....

U can update ur new PP info by an online email/CSE...Here is the link....

u can also attach scanned PP on this email/CSE....

U can also send directly new PP when u have the PP request since ur new PP contains the old PP (that u have submitted during ur app) ref number....So this is not a big deal.....
