Dear Members,

I sent my application today via UPS. The main envelope which had all the documents had all the details such as NOC Category, NOC: XXXX as per the Guideline 7000 but I didn't write the NOC code under the Receiver's section on the form that was provided to me by the UPS employee.

I only mentioned:
Citizenship And Immigration Canada,
49 Dorchester Street Sydney, NS (Nova Scotia)
B1P5Z2 CANADA

Do you guys think it is ok ?

I recently sent my application to CIC. I have provided National ID details in form but didnot sent copy of my National Identity card (CNIC) as It was mentioned on this forum, we donot need to send CNIC copy. I had sent copy of my passport. Will they accept my application or reject it ?

CIO shall accept it. No problem.

Just for information, you should have provided the copy.

You can wait for the seniors on this forum to respond to your query but I submitted my NICOP card photo copy along with the application.

I have applied in june and application received on 18 june at cio. I as PA and my spouse did not had birth certificates so we have sent secondary school cert. And passport copy as birth proof. But my spouse's secondary school certificate does not contain the name of any parent but the passport has his parents name. I am worried will they accept it or return the appkication.

Please guide me if there are any alternatives available at this point if time

If S School certificate does not contain parents name, then your applicaton will be rejected... Passport is not considered as valid proof, you could have submitted an affidavit, that would have worked.

Not sure if you can send additional documents now, but some of the forum members submitted additional documents later and it worked for them.

I forgot to mention I have enclosed an affidavit but in that affidavit nothing has been mentioned about missing parents namebon certificates

Dear Guys,

I am on the course of gathering documents to apply for FSW. All the firms that i worked with already gave me the reference letters. But, I am kind of stuck as one of the company in Saudi Arabia which I worked with in 2008-2009 is not ready to provide me a reference letter in their letterhead claiming that its against the standard procedure as I was also not a direct employee. I was under a contract. However its still true that I worked there for 19 months and more than 2 senior managers are ready to provide their personal reference for me.
Its just that I wont get a company letterhead. Is there any alternative way other than company letterhead that I could include my experience for the FSW application ?

Really would appreciate any helpful inputs friends. This is the only thing that is left for me to continue with my application :'(

In addition to that posting just your job title doesn't give me much to go on. But off the top I would say NOC 2281 ... post detailed job duties for a better opinion.

Basically, i am s/w engineer who is into product and production support. My past work - responsibilities include the Level 2 support for a telecom company's product (software), troubleshooting, work with team across the globe, fix the issue by executing multiple unix command and sometime change the script.
AT present, i am into job monitoring and below are some of the R & R:

• Leading a team of 6 as well as working as shift engineer
• Handling client calls & escalations
• Preparing roster for the team
• Preparing Severity Incidence Report for SEV-I issue.
• Preparing and reviewing multiple reports covering job failures in Production, deployment issues and others.
• Handling Leave requests and appraisals
• Monitoring batch jobs & alerts and troubleshooting including backup and space issues for unix based live real servers.
• Performing preliminary Investigation and troubleshooting.
• Deploying new code changes into Production
• Automating Daily routine checks/jobs in Production
• Act on Day-to-Day House Keeping tasks by using tools & scripts
• Creating Knowledge Articles for known issue and updating them on time-to-time basis
• Keeping an overall eye on Production

Does the affidavit include name of both parents while certifying that you do not have birth certificate? In case yes, then you should be fine. passport is not consiered as proof of birth by CIC.
