They have the full power to swing it positively to your favour.Remember that your parents name has been filled in some of your forms and this can be used as a reference point to your birth certificate details&your name as detailed in your passport.
I would have loved it that you included an additional evidence for you to have a strong point.....even a cover letter would have clear your doubt.
Like I say....there is a 50% to 60% chance that this will go to your favour as CIC may have been aware of cultures that issue such certificate.
This soft landing i gave you does not nullify the response of k_b.....if you can afford it,start your plan B as he advised you.
