@ saira's situation is different.. she's getting a Letter from someone who was never her boss during her stint with the co. This person joined at her Manager level Only after she left the co.

I personally don't think it makes sense to get a letter from somebody whom you have never worked with (in the past or present) .. with any Employer.

I received request to submit FBI report from VO recently. It appears that getting FBI report takes more time and I may not meet the deadline to submit. Can I request visa office to extend time to allow for submission of PCC??

Yes, contact your local VO to explain and get an extension.

Brother, It takes around 6 weeks to get it, as shown below:

Timelines for FBI report request for USA PCC purposes (for guidelines purpose only):
Request reached at FBI - May 19th
CC Charged - June 6th
Report dispatched - June 20th or 23rd
One copy delivered at New Delhi - June 24th (so likely dispatched on 20th)
Another copy delivered in India - June 27th

Note: At this time FBI site shows 28 calendar days required to process request (and I believe it said 25 calendar days when I put request)

Hi Jig, sorry to hear that your file is returned after fees encashment and ECAS changed to "in process" (and now this "in process" is removed).
This simply indicates that Fee Encashment and ECAS "In Process" doesn't mean PER

Reapply and keep being optimistic.

Is there any one whose ECAS status disappeared after showing IN PROCESS and yet received PER email.
I am in this boat and dont know what to conclude. I dont know if my file is back or ECAS is having issue. I have not got PER email yet. I am may 6th applicant and DD cashed long back.

This is for those who are still working on their applications and have not sent it yet. Those who have sent, do NOT worry!!!!! This is just a note regarding issues with one's fee payment. One issue or the other with a CC payment keeps happening every 50 or so pages in the forum. ;D The most unfortunate part is many of the CC issues are not under one's control (like CC company changing the card or sometimes the card stops functioning all of a sudden). Point is DDs are 100% safe when made for 6 months validity.

I will use the post to caution others from using CC as a mode of payment (since DD is risk free when made for 6 months validity). I am in NO way saying CCs are always unsafe (many have used them successfully), but credit card users from India and some other developing countries have a higher risk of RBI / Bank regulation issues coming in their way, at times. translated or i can send xerox of that....when i asked notary public to notarised the xerox copy then they told they cant notorised ...so i am in dilemma ..if i send original then i

I'm not quite sure what you are asking here, but so long as you provide the original translation with translator's affidavit and the certified true copy of the original document you should be fine. 1.i have birth certificate in my native language and i had done photocopy and got it certified by notary.here i am going to send photocopy i.e. certified copy
2.BC is translated by notary public and is duly stamped and written "the translation copy is true and verified" and signature has been done, no affidavit is done as in my country notary pubic make translation and i think its fine.....now my question is for translated document shiuld i send original translated birth certificate ??? or photocopy of translated doc is fine???

Need one help regarding PCC. My application reached to CIO on 22nd May 2014. I lived in UK for 3 years, born in India lived for 25 years. I am currently in USA for last 2.5 years.

I am waiting for CIO reply regarding acceptance of application and further process. No money CC/DD has been deducted. Should I wait for their reply before applying for PCC..?

Are they giving good amount of time to get PCCs.? They said on website that they would inform if PCC required.

Plz help me.. what should I do at this stage..?
