Rather than number crunching, I would like to make a qualitative C.P (class participation)

I was not around in FSW 13, but i think the process has been streamlined since then. At least to the extent that "job reference letter and matching with NOC" is now being done before CC charging as compared to post CC charging in 2013 (and then processing refunds).

My observation is based on some of the rejections rationale (for post CC charging rejections) which include
1. Missing experience letter
2. Self deceleration not acceptable

While this year around, applicants having such deficiencies have been rejected before CC charging (based on returned files).

Net net, in my opinion, past statistics are not relevant and %age of rejection after CC charge will be considerably lower than 1%.

Disclaimer: Quite possible that last year they had similar procedure, however, the above cited post charging rejections were due to slippage by some inexperienced staff, which can be repeated this year around as well.

Hey Ashif/Century,

I got a post on the forum dated July 03, 201 which says he submitted only bank statement as a proof of Canadian relative residence. It PMed him and he replied that in his case Visa Officer was convinced with bank statement alone and dint ask for any other supporting doc.

I hope the criteria remains same this year as well. have you ever seen a case getting rejected because of providing only one proof of Canadian relative's residential status.

Only if CIC knew that their routine work is being analyzed threadbare like this.

Give them a break guys. After all, they are just working there for a salary with probably an efficiency no better than ours at our respective workplaces.

They know what they have to do, and will eventually process all applicants in the right order they have received them.

Only if u have made us realize earlier, we would have included some bonus for them in our apps ;D :-X

If this 'bonus' thing is established as a valid tool, I am sure people, like the ones who want Saturdays to be working day for CIC and so forth, will make CIC a 24x7 office with enough staff to decide on a case the same day the application is received.

I just so hope to see such 'efficiency-friendly' people working in their offices one they land and start working in Canada. I expect a work-ethic from them that sounds like...

Okay, I am clearly in a mood to joke. ;D So do you mean for these two cases instead of out rightly rejecting they call the person for an interview to understand the reason and then if it comes out that the real reason is as lousy as they guessed (where person did everything from IELTS and ECA correctly, got all reference letters just fine yet made either of these two silly mistakes) then they slap the person real hard and ask to correct it right away and then CIC takes the case forward? LOL

I think I can even make a process flow for this (to get it added to the ECAS page)!!! 8)

Can't say anything about relative's bank statement case, but seems like for settlement fund, CIO consider it itself as fund and without any hesitation, they love to recharge it.

I am providing all these in original (since I can get Bank letters anytime and Employer/Manager letter anytime), but the check list document says it should be copies.

Self attested duties are open to higher scrutiny.... but if u have provided enough evidence about ur job, employment letter, business card, etc etc and things (duties/roles) are pretty clear ... hopefully u will sail through!

BUT N MY CASE .....I HAVE ONLY SUBMITTED EXP. LETTER DESCRIBING MY DESIGNATION AND PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT..
ADDITION TO IT I HAVE SUBMITTED SELF DECLARATION OF JOB DUTIES. ..THAT IS IT...

Only your highest degree needs to be assessed if it were not from Canada. So, I don't see why you would need to assess your bachelor's degree since you already have a Canadian master's degree. You will get points for master's degree regardless.

Thanks. I have spoken to the CIC Call center folks on two occasions. Even they were of the opinion that i am not required to get the bachelor degree assessed.

However, i have spoken to a few immigration consultants, and for some reason all of them said they i need to get the bachelor credentials assessed too. Seems illogical to me.

Any other opinion/experience on this matter would be appreciated. Just to state my query again, i have a Master's degree from Canada ( M.Engg) and a bachelor's (B.Tech) from India. Do i need to submit ECA for the bachelor's degree?

Chris Alexander, Canada's immigration minister, is in India for next 3 days, to encourage more Indian students and economic class workers to choose canada for migration and to spread awareness about the new express entry migration program that canada is going to kick start in Jan 2015. He will also meet some key IT companies executives.

If you have some searious immigration questions that forum does not have answer for, you can catch hold of him in Mumbai or Delhi. Lol

If the US president were to apply who does he get the roles & responsibilities letter to sign from (or who is the direct supervisor)?

Brother, Don't be stuck on the same question for 3 days. Move ahead in the process, it is already 07 July. Forget about bachelors evaluation and prepare your package. Don't ask 10 people that will confuse you. Take one good consultant like Abhinav and move along or do it all by yourself if you have enough time on your hands. Good luck!

I just wanted to check if anyone had a similar experience. I still have have give the IELTS, so can't "move along".

Not sure who "Abhinav" is though. Is he based in India?

You have a degree from Canada, why bothering yourself on an ECA? You don't need an assessment. The requirements are clear..
