Dear Friends,

I'm happy to report that I now have the Canadian visa on my passport

Now that I have your attention, let me elaborate before you jump at a July applicant claiming to have the visa

I have received a student visa and will be travelling to Canada in the first week of March. My PR application still remains in process. I'm done with medicals and am waiting for the eventual PPR. I will ofcourse stay glued to this forum and will report on my experience in Canada.

I don't think it's possible. As per the info on the link below, PR visa cannot be extended.

However, you should try contacting your local VO. They might have some info on it.

However, in worst case scenario you should try traveling to Canada for a 2-3 days to apply for PR Card (use a friend's address) and return to your country of residence.

In case you have any medical problems which disables you from using air travel then you can try combination of road and sea cruise modes! For e.g. a cruise to New York from Dubai via France and a car ride down to Canada etc.!

The visa validity is strictly 1 year from the medicals. This is time bound and they do not grant an extension as per the guidelines (not sure if there are exceptional cases). If you do not land within the stipulated time, your visa will expire and your PR will not get processed. You will thereby have to start afresh....

Disclaimer - this is as per my knowledge....other seniors could confirm / advise otherwise.

Ur Visa will be cancelled and u will have to re-apply for FSW/EE etc.

So u will have to land in between this time by anyhow.....Whether it can be for one days....no matter....

Now i have job offer from Abu Dhabi & i have resident visa from UAE also.

My question is if i change my job at this time & go back to abu dhabi then it will affect my visa application or there will be no problem ?

Just for ur ack, many NDVO applicants from US has sent their PP via other family member/frnds to India and then NDVO....they wrote an authorization letter to their friends....

Noope dear...It should not have any impact since ur app will be assessed with earlier/existing job....

Just send them a CSE abt current add and job changes....

U know wat u have to do which is only the last option available...U have to travel back to India and provide ur passport via VFS..then hope it comes back to u within a week/ max. two weeks...It'd be expensive and u wud hav to arrange leaves from work etc....but u wud have ur PR Visa....its worth it right?.. i'd advise start preparing for this eventuality if NDVO doesn't reply in a few days...

Hi Annie, I think you must tell this to VO. Because, if at all they check with the bank on your POF, surely they will call up tell your saving account number or any unique number from the savings account proof that you have submitted with application. It need not be the same branch where you have done the transactions. It may be the main branch as well. Then unknowingly if the person who takes the call checks your savings account and say there are no funds ryt now...it may become a problem.

But, ideally it is advised not to play around with the POF until we receive passports stamped with VISA...as per my knowledge.

I got this info from our Andhra bank - Manager. We have FD with AB and we thought of taking some loan on FD. Then he advised not to take loan because, if CIC (VO) calls main branch and checks the details, they will tell there is a lien on account which may affect the process.

There is no harm if you write this to VO and give the new POF (FD certificate copy)

That's not correct. Visa Office doesn't have the authority to call your bank and ask how much money you have in that account.

At the most they may ask you for a proof that you have maintained the funds for that period. If that happens, you can then justify that you changed the deposit from one account to the other.

Hello All
I had left my job recently . Just wanted to know does this impact my application. I have valid experience of my NOC for 7 yrs.
When should I inform Vo abt this. Once I got my MR. Or before.

I got my per on 29th Oct. Nothing after that.

Any suggestions pls.

Happy to announce that I have just received PPR Alhumdulillah. ECAS still says In Progress.
Something to note: My case was handled by NDVO but when I sent them my documents (MR / PCC etc) i also requested them if i can have my stamping done at LVO as I am in UK and will be here from some time. I had also raised a CSE for the same. They did not respond but the PPR email does say that I need to submit the passports to LVO.
