That is great to hear! I've applied under the NOC 1114 as a Mortgage Broker/Loan Officer (worked for 12 years in this field here in LA). Although I stopped working in this field a couple years back (due to the company closing), all my docs etc. are in order (so it makes me feel better now that they've at least initially confirmed my eligibility).
I'm a full time student now studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC, Berkeley. I was just a bit worried if this might become an issue, since it is not related to my work, but as I have correctly stated everything on my app, they seem to have no problem with it. I also indicated on the app that my "intended" occupation in Canada might be either 'Electrical Engineer' or 'Mortgage Broker'.
Now I guess the waiting game begins! .....I graduate this May 2015. So as long as they don't make me leave the US before that I'm fine!
