That is great to hear! I've applied under the NOC 1114 as a Mortgage Broker/Loan Officer (worked for 12 years in this field here in LA). Although I stopped working in this field a couple years back (due to the company closing), all my docs etc. are in order (so it makes me feel better now that they've at least initially confirmed my eligibility).

I'm a full time student now studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC, Berkeley. I was just a bit worried if this might become an issue, since it is not related to my work, but as I have correctly stated everything on my app, they seem to have no problem with it. I also indicated on the app that my "intended" occupation in Canada might be either 'Electrical Engineer' or 'Mortgage Broker'.

Now I guess the waiting game begins! .....I graduate this May 2015. So as long as they don't make me leave the US before that I'm fine!

HELP, cc charge more then 2 months, noc 911, still no PER, got UCI number, but still status is inactive...... app recd date sep 4, what can be reason,??????? already emailed cic about 45 days back, checking email thoroughly w/o fail

Hey everyone,

I reside in Los Angeles and the CIO sydney office received my app 10/21. I Just got my PER yesterday (1/21/15). When I use the application number to check my status it says "In Process" (clicking it gives me "We received your app on 10/21").

I'm really new here and can someone enlighten me on the true significance of the PER. Can one take this as a good sign? Do many apps get rejected after this stage? If not, at what stage can one say with good certainty that you're pretty much in?

Hey..

Just click on the "In Process" tab shown on ECAS and on the next page if you find this line " We received your application on....." then it means the CC has been charged and you are few days away from the Golden Email. *Fingers Crossed*. You'll get PER hopefully in first couple of days in the coming week.

Hey Hari,

The UCI number is generated once the credit card has been charged and the application has passed completeness check stage. So just hold on your breath and wait for the golden email. You don't need to worry for now. The average number of days to receive PER is 90 to 120 days.

I've just received my PER email which indicates that the D.D had been cleared on 29 Dec, 2014 although the bank stated that the clearance was on 2 Jan, 2015 . However, the Visa Office is not mentioned.
