Dear E&E Engineers,

Greetings,
I would very much appreciate it if you could clarify few things about ECA. I have applied for my ECA; I completed a three-year E&E diploma & I completed a Bachelor degree (BEng) from UK in two years (program duration = 3-year). As I already completed 3-year diploma in E&E, I was allowed to start from the second year. So I only did the second year the third year (Final year) to earn my bachelor degree.

My question is;
Will WES combine my three-year diploma & my BEng (which i completed in two academic years) and evaluate both of them as equivalent to a Canadian Bachelor Degree in E&E Engineering ?
or
Will WES evaluate each one of my credentials separately??
Pleeeeeeeeeeease advise.

Can you please asses my work experience.... if this will fit in NOC 2133 successfully? Main duties provided officially by HR department.

employed by __________(government funded non earning College) as a full time Engineer - Broadcast
from February 1, 2011 up to present with a minimum
40 hours of work per week.

The following items below are part of his duties and responsibilities:
● Identify and research broadcast electronic equipment, design and implement system required for
the delivery of Programs within the Applied Communications Division.
● Supervise and responsible for the installation, configuration, evaluation, testing, operation and
maintenance of the equipment in a broadcast production studio.
● Develop equipment specifications and purchase proposals along with the development of the
corresponding budget requirements.
● Inventory maintenance and set up standard operating procedure for all production electronic
equipment.
● Deal promptly with student and faculty technical problems by direct liaison with the
student/faculty, the Program Chair, and/or appropriate College personnel.
● Train and supervise students/faculty in the use of the broadcast studio equipment.
● Teaching duties for media production coursework.
● Contribute to, observe and implement college and systemwide
policies and procedures.
● Respond promptly to the requirements of the College and System.

I dont think theres any problem with that. Some of the job duties matche with NOC 2133. I think adding a couple of more matching duties would make his ref letter acceptbale!

(Assuming you're going to renew your PRC ID over there.)


I do not know if this process also applies to PRC offices outside Manila, Philippines.

I am a member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) and IEEE.
I have added these info in the application form, and attached a photocopy of my ID/proof of membership to support.

If your current position/experience is more of a technician than an Engineer, then apply for NOC 2241.
Please read NOC and compare the 2241 to 2133 NOC codes.

• Investigate electrical or electronic failures in the systems and prepare fault reports.
• Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical/electronic systems and Equipments.
• Prepare preventive maintenance work reports, complete test reports and operational work reports.
• Supervise technicians and engineers, trained them in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
• Recommend personnel actions such as competency, capability, necessary training for further uplift in career.
• Prepare report for design, operation and performance of Electrical generation and load distribution, electrical machinery and Components and electronic communications, instrumentation and control systems, equipment, and components
• Prepare material requirement and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipments
• Requisition and procure materials and supplies, co-ordinate with base office.
• Test and design electrical and electronic circuits, components, systems and equipment Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
• Prepare and supervise that systems are ready according to client contract requirements.

these will be ok or need some more lines.
