Dear shailp, you are in the same boat as of mine.

1. you can send your passport to India (but not by post) write a authorization letter which allow any person traveling to India to carry your passport and get it notarized from bank. But NDVO will not return your passport to your foreign address so you should give them your India address where they can send your passport. I did the same thing, sent my passport to my wife (who is still in India). We are into the third week after sending passport to NDVO and have no response from them.
2. Yes you can do medicals from any panel physician in USA which are given on CIC website. I have done my medicals from US which is expensive though, $395.
3. I suggest you do FBI clearance since NDVO going to ask for it.
4. and do not ask them to delay your application since it will convey wrong impression of your intensions to migrate to Canada.

Thanks Stark. it will help me l lot.

Dear friends

URGENT___I have a doubt about landing. :o

Now that the visa is stamped, i have a basic doubt about landing.

My husband is the principal applicant, who wants to land in Canada first, hunt and settle in a job, later take myself and our 4 months old baby later in the year (anyways before our visa expires in Feb 2015!!).
So while myself and my kid landing later in the year, does my husband need to accompany us while landing???? is it mandatory. can i land without him as he is already inside Canada while we land!!???

kindly clarify urgently

thanks

Hi, guys after all your valuable suggestions I decided to send the forms again with covering letter.

Thank you Mr. Rakeshtk for your valuable suggestions, I am decided to send the new forms with covering letter. But I don't know how they will know my application is just missed forms.not the complete new application. There is chance to assume that this is a new application. What to write on top of the envelope to avoid this.

Hi friend

Congratulations!

Get ready these docs,
Cover letter
All passports
MR request PDF print
MR receipt/ completion proof
Pcc if requested
RPRF dd

Keep all docs copy with you, specially Pcc colour copy.

Go to vfs and tell them you want to send all docs to canada high commission delhi.

They will take your docs and you have to pay fees and keep receipt with you as it will be required to collect your passport from vfs.

PM me in case if you need any info.

Hi SAP_BW

I went to VFS chandigarh and they said that according to a new rule, they do not accept PR Deliveries for canada and if i use their service it might delay my processing.
So I have now sent my documents through Blue Dart.

Was it mandatory to use VFS Delivery?

Thanks

Hi vedi. Glad to help you with a few of the points here.

1. I did my medicals at Ruby Hall in Pune. The procedure took 3 hours. Eye check-up, blood/ urine samples, x-ray, physical check-up by the panel doctor.

2. I called the hospital in advance to check what all I need to bring with me. You can do the same with Fortis. Here is what I took with me.
2a. MR forms
2b. MR letter and email
2c. Medical history records
2d. Five photographs as per specifications on the CIC site
2e. Medical prescriptions from my family doc

3. After the medicals, the hospital gave me two things
3a. Original receipts of the bill payment
3b. A photocopy of the MR form - filled with my info, photo, and panel doctors signature. They kept the original with them

4. Following is what I sent to NDVO
4a. Cover Letter
4b. MR email and MR Letter
4c. Original receipts of medical bill payment (Please maintain a photocopy for your records)
4d. Photocopy of the filled-up MR form that hospital gave me (item 3b above. Please maintain a copy for your records)
4e. RPRF DD - I made it in INR from Bank of Baroda.
4f. All passports (old and new)

5. I sent the whole package through VFS. They charged me Rs. 2580 (Rs. 645 per applicant. And we are four of us on my application - total 9 passports and one PIO card).

6. Adrenaline had shared a cover letter draft, which I used for my letter as well. I am sharing it here, in case if you want to use it.

S, PR and family MEMBERs can travel separately. No issue. But when PR landing he has to carry POF for complete family.
He need not accopany when you are travelling if he is inside canada.

I hope you have CoPR & visa for your baby?

Hey goalcanada, thanks

Yes I have copr and visa for myself and my baby

So the PA has to carry the proof of funds for all 3 of us and he can land first. Later I along with the baby can land without the principal applicant only with COPR and visa before it expires.

Anything else to be taken care of when travelling separately without the PA??

Please guide

Thanks

Yes that's all as concluded by you and guided by goalcanada. You only needs to take care of yourself and your baby and usual travel stuff. Do confirm from your husband the funds he showed while landing since if any balance left then officers will ask you to show that balance funds while you land.
