Yes it should be on company letter head signed by superior. U will have to submit any original doc only when the Visa officer ask u to submit....hope this will clear all confusion... ;D ;D ;D

I am a 2174 July applicant. I know I am out of the race this year. Did anyone get a PER by giving a reference letter from a collegue without the company letter head. I have worked in many companies. So in case I apply for other NOCs in the future , I am gathering information.

Basically, you want to file with another NOC now as 2174 is full, we understand that. Why wait?? Dream is big? or no? So, do not think, just try some other NOC and file asap.

Not yet. I was wondering what would be anyother sign to prove that your file has been transfered to the NDVO. Some of us have started getting MR which is great. It seems things are still moving inspite of the strike action.

Some of us started getting MR?? From NDVO?? Can someone please confirm this. It would be an interesting turn of events. As far as I know, no one has received MR from NDVO and whatever news we had about that was from HongKong.

Who is your consultant? Have you asked your consultant for update? You could also call CIC to get an update on your status.

Apart from the one you notorized, you gave another letter from your colleague? Or in the self declaration letter you made a reference of your colleague and he attested it ?

So here's a quick list of what we submitted:

1. Certificate of Employment --> this is on a company letter head, signed by HR, this served as my "letter of reference from employer" as stated in the checklist

2. List of Duties and Responsibilities along with other details such as working hours, either contractual/regular, length of service, salary, etc --> if you can prepare this document and have it signed by your superior/HR, it's better, but for me I wasn't able to have it signed, that's why we just had it notarized

3. Reference Letter --> I had a former colleague do this for me, he just stated in the letter how many years we have worked together and an overview of what my experience is, this one we didn't have it notarized


For the reference letter which was not notarized, I don't know whether CIC evaluated it as an acceptable document or not, but I got my PER, so maybe it worked ;D

I got UCI number from CIC after i called them.if i want to send any missed doc's can i specify UCI number and send them as i have not yet recieved PER .will they accept the doc's which i send them.any one has done this succesfully.

You may not get details from CIO as you have authorized your representative to collect information on behalf of yours. Just stalk your consultant & may be if you feel right, threaten him that you'll exclude him if he is not going to give me updated information.

Hi friends!

Urgent please help. I am new to this forum. I am not having D.O.B certificate as my parents didn't inform my birth details in local municipalities/panchayathi/village. I would like to know whether is there any other alternatives for Date of Birth certificate as a proof for D.OB which CIC will accept without rejecting the application? I am having only my 10th class(S.S.C) certificate as proof of D.OB but I have seen in this forum that one guy with username kumars got rejected as he submitted his spouse 10th class certificate. Please advice me. Thank you!!

Dear Victory, Assuming that you are from India, why you want to take chance?? Just go to some local authority and get DOB certificate made. That is easier than sending application with Metric certificate and biting your nails till you get PER/rejection.

They are processing work permits, student visas already..it's us being impacted the worse.

For sure they have processed ur PER....may be u have missed that mail....u can check ur email's spam/deleted folder...Dont worry...u took the cap!!!...
