URGENT:

My agent will be receiving the my application tommorow that is 16th morning in canada.He will dispatch on the same day.However the couriers companies have denied the next day devlivery from vancouver to sydney on 17th.instead all major companies will be delivering by 21st.
Is any one aware of any courier company ,it seems they are not working on 17th probably.?

Your advise is appreciated.

Which companies did he talk to? There are FedEx, UPS, DHL, Purolator, Canada Post and many other courier companies. One of them must be working, unless its a holiday, either in Canada or in Vancouver.

The companies you have mentioned are ready to pick up on 16th but cannot deliver on 17th.17th is not a national holiday though.
They all are showing delivery dates for 21st.

I guess its the distance than. Vancouver being the other end of Canada and Sydney in the middle of nowhere. Its quiet a distance.

try to pay extra.... and search by google by your own who gives overnight delivery...

let me tell you what will happen.... all the appliations will be ACCUMULATED during the weekends... (thurs, fri and sat).... so, all these appliations will be piled and will be sent to CIC in a bunch... so your application will compete with all those which are reached later than your application !

reaching CIC in Friday afternoon will avoid a big que of monday morning ...

I agree! we tried really hard to send it out by Tuesday when we failed to do so last Monday, to make sure that the courier can deliver it in Sydney by Friday. Otherwise, the days during the weekend will be wasted.

Right now, the tracking says it has reached Lachine, Quebec! Almost there! hahaha =)

The bank draft should be payable to "THE Receiver General for Canada" or "Receiver General for Canada". I mean should the word "The" be included?
At document check list it was mentioned as "THE Receiver General for Canada" and in the form IMM5620 it is mentioned as "Receiver General for Canada"

Monday is a holiday in Canada. That is the reason for your package being delivered only by 21st.
