I requested addtional copy after CIC announcement and my lawyers verified it.
Since my case reached just after Martha and the face that I have not heard anything makes me happy.
No news is good news.

Are you sure about your ECA is eligible for CIC. You say that it has been completed by WES in 2012, but here is what CIC say:

When you apply as a federal skilled worker with a foreign educational credential, an original ECA report must:

be included with your application along with proof of your foreign credential,
be issued on or after the date the organization was designated by CIC,
not be more than five years old on the date that CIC gets your application, and
show your credential is equal to a completed Canadian one.

I hope the date you asked for a copy (dated in the letter by WES I presume) would be OK for CIC...

Hi All,

I know we all are speculating. My app was recd on May 14th. I am doing it thru a law firm based in Toronto.So the communication address given is my law firm's one.

What are the chances that if my app was rejected then I should have known it by now, because the package shd have been recd by now by my lawyer?

It took 7 days for Marta's one, so for me also it would be the same.

So any guesses.

Mine reached CIC may15th but my address used is far away Nigeria

I saw that post and think its ok. It was a smart move some people made that paid off in the long run. He did his assessment back then but requested for a FSW 2013 compliant upgrade to be made after after CIC did their announcement. So its ok. I also did same using ICAS of Canada though.

Hi, No Australia will not accept WES... I asked if I can evade the pesky ACS assessment, but they replied "NO" ... Wes Canada has no presence in Australian system in anyway..

So my only consolation in putting all this money and efforts to WES just went into thin air...

Actually guys, in the spreadsheet that I posted, there is a worksheet showing applications returned and the reasons, that might help a bit. However this year the percentage should be even higher based on the changes to the forms and when those changes were made.

Hard to say. But one thing is for sure that we are much more prepared now vs. 2011. Our spreadsheet looks more filled and we probably represent a higher number of the global applications vs. 2011. My estimate would be around 5-6%.

Now that you mention EOI - does anyone know if WES certs are accepted by Australian immigration? Specifically for the EOI system (Expression of Interest)?

And also - related to Quebec - are you speaking of their scheduled start of accepting new apps on Aug 1st No presently, until July 31st your area of training is on the list, you could apply on Monday if you had enough points.?
Did you mean that Quebec will start with EOI too or that was just for Aussies?

I wouldn't give much importance to the 2011 spreadsheet given some people may have joined way after they got PER (in order to compare processing times etc). Therefore, the data will be distorted. Also, based on 2011 spreadsheet, some of the early birds should have been charged (not PER) but no one has reported anything so far. Looks like this year will take much longer as opposed to what our beloved Mr. Kenney promised!

Really very upset on courier service. I sent my application on 10th June from LONDON. But still it has not reached to CIC, waiting in depart facility in NS. Strange, at the time of sending document the associate told me it would go within 4 days.

Mate - this is not unusual. Mine took 7 days from London too. What courier are you using?

haha okay *zip*. Yes, personally EOI is the best thing. Pool of applicants, filter it, and then invite for the eligible ones. Controlled but cream of applicants, and not a lot of hassle. Plus employers can interact / interfere and escalate the process too if they like someone. It should have been done this time, but alas, cold weather made them lazy .

I was checking the spreadsheet of 2011 and i found some people whom there applications have returned due to "insufficient evidence to prove work experience in the specified NOC"!! i wonder what can be the cause of this? all what is required is experience letter from your employer with main duties ... how can such document be insufficient?! not related main duties or only this letter as a reference can be insufficient?!! what do you think?!
