Honestly guys a lot of the applicants for 2174 are Overestimating their chances. There are many many applicants like above who do not care to participate in the forums discussions to reveal their application details.

Here are Some numbers for you to consider.
I sent my application on the same day i received WES ECA through ups the 6th. In my city there were 30 applications received out of which 14 were of NOC 2174 , how do i know this? Because I was one of the 11 people who sent it on the same day ( completed application with eca report) through ups from the same center where they had received their applications. Now this is one of the major city. Lets take on an average 5 major cities ( leave out minority ) and round it down. That is 50 applications sent from india through ups on the 6th of may were received on the 9th of may.Now i Have not considered the other courier services or the people who had sent their application on the 4th to be received on the 8th like this person above. If India had 50 applications in the NOC per day. Consider the major countries and cities all over the world. NOC 2174 people already in USA ( expiring h1b holders, usa students) and International Students in canada. who's application reached cic much much earlier. Its not hard to do the math. But underestimating the numbers by Over estimating the WES Delay's is just being a tad too optimistic. I fear my application would not reach the cap count even though it reached cic on the 9th of may at 9.51 am. Because I trust that very few applications in 2174 would have mistakes as its a noc for very educated people who spend a majority of their time online and are for most part efficient in gathering information,crosschecking and validating.

I am not trying to paint some kind of gloomy picture or a horror story. Lets be Realistic here , Don't get your hopes up too high. The best thing you can do is inquire cic about the cap count. the email i had sent has seen no response except the automated response. I am convinced if we mail cic / the minister's office we will get a positive update on this. Its our job to follow up on our application as it is the same with most things we do. We should not neglect it. Clearly Just waiting for CIC is not cutting it and has shown no positive indication on the cap count whatsoever.

Just curious don't mean to challenge you - UPS can count the number of couriers to one particular destination but how could they count the number of couriers for each NOC? And how did you manage to persuade them to disclose that to you? Thanks

We are on the same page here. Even I am wondering if I made the count...my application got there 10.39 on the 9th. I believe we are ok though, as long as all documents were signed, filled out correctly. Please who got theirs received up to the Friday should be ok.

Any Idea what may be total app received out of 5000? CIC is not updating
I want to send my application in 0211 or 2131 @ 10th June
any guess which is more preferable as per CAP availibility?

Nothing is really clear about the caps till now. Hopefully, this week they will publish the first figures about the caps and we will know how everything is going.

But depending on the applications of this forum, i think you don't have to worry that much as you will be able to apply at least for one of the two occupations you are planning to and probably will be 0211.

As it does not seem evident to you from my other post , let me elaborate. No courier service will reveal any such information. I was at the ups office the whole day waiting for eca from wes and along with me were other people waiting. I was there till the end of the day to ensure the safe delivery of my application So I indeed know from the people that were there present at the office along with me the number for that particular NOC on that day from my city. Its not hard to normalize the figures , disregard the minorities and extrapolate . And there are many International courier services , I had extrapolated the numbers just based on 1 since that is the same courier service that WES had used to send us our ECA reports.

I am leaving the other part to be asnwered by Aditya, but, as far NOC is concerned, The address requires to have NOC code mentioned on the label, so they can actually count per NOC category as well without opening.

You can apply separately for two NOC's but with different Packages and each having all original documents [that are required including original IELTS] and copies.

Well, when we start to enter data for future dates, it'll get fixed. Just made it in advance

27th May has passed!

What I meant was that the "date" column shows 27/05 correctly but the "day" column next to it also shows 27/05 instead of "Monday". Hence 28th May shows Monday next to it and that is wrong Nothing major, sorry for nitpicking

you can apply for two NOCs but in different two applications (not in same application), so you need to gather the documents twice, including IELTS and ECA, pay the fees twice ....Etc.

Anyway,as i am telling you, we are expecting to see some figures about caps this week, so you will know for sure which one of these two occupations you can apply for
