In NOC code 1112 for FSW 2013, 'Investment Advisers, Corporate' are perfectly eligible as they are Financial Analysts. To quote CIC web site
"Financial analysts are employed by a wide range of establishments throughout the private and public sector, such as banks, brokerage houses, insurance companies, investment companies, manufacturing firms, trust companies, utility companies and underwriting firms. Investment analysts are employed primarily by brokerage houses and trust companies"
If you look at the detailed list of job profiles under NOC code 1112 on HRSDC website you will find 'Investment Advisers, Corporate' as a legitimate job title. Acc to HRSDC website even this list is not complete and is only indicative. Even a few good profiles from insurance industry will also be eligible for 1112.
A lot of people on this forum are becoming insecure about their applications and are assuming things that are not correct. I just wanted to share this for the benefit of those who have applied or wish to apply in future.
I am a banker by profession and I have worked with banks in India and Canada for more than 10 years. I also have private equity experience in Indonesia.
This may or may not be true but I believe that there is a very good chance that the CAP for NOC 1112 was reached on week ending May 17, 2013. If there is any chance then the week starting May 21 (Tuesday) was the last week to get in for NOC 1112. I know I am sticking my neck out of this and I may be completely wrong on the same.
